Prayer

To you whose dry lips the oceans turn to for aid,
I wonder how the world bears your pain,
The world bears your pain.
My circumambulation burns until sunset, with spears surrounding your head,
At the time of your prayer, arrows become your prayer mat, your body
This wave that breaks on your body, I break with tears
Your wounds open up their lips, each time I kiss them.

After a hundred years, if you pass by my grave,
I will tear my shroud, and take up my life anew.
O Hussein
Peace be upon Hussein,
And upon Ali, son of Hussein,
And upon the companions of Hussein,
And upon the children of Hussein,
I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God.
I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God.
I bear witness that Ali is the Vicegerent of God.
I bear witness that Ali is the Proof of God.
