The Day of Departure

Although it was just a chance encounter, it created our future.
Now I believe in miracles, when remembering that day.
That a moment is a part of eternity, I've been thinking lately.
All those detours and obstacles were important.
The very first e-mail I received, had just two lines.
It was so awkward, that I misunderstood and was sad.

There are so many words that I want to say even though they're simple.
To say, "I love you." Is that too commonplace?

Just a single word can make me so sad or give me a new life.
To love and be hurt, it's the path that led me to today.
I'm sorry, I've been so selfish and immature.
It's the first time I've ever shown you this weak side of me.

The path we'll walk from here on out, I wonder what it will be like.
Surely, we can overcome it. I can feel it now.

The time we've spent together has gently enveloped us both.
Happiness has found me, though it took some getting used to.

We met three years ago, and through our ups and downs,
Hey, I have just one question. Will you make me happy?
