Il est dans un petit patelin, quelque part

L'on vous sert une omelette à l'oignon
Comme la fontaine est très loin dans l'pays

Avec un seau va puiser dans une mare
Dans l'bouillon vous trouvez des têtards

Dans le bistrot d'en bas y a un billard
Mais on n'peut pas y jouer parce que
Y a qu'une bille et ensuite y a pas d'queues

L'endroit discret n'est pas dans la maison,
Mais à côté d'la cabane au cochon,
Faut une bougie pour s'y rendre la nuit,
Et s'il pleut, faut prendre un parapluie
On quitte l'hôtel disant: C'est pas trop tôt!
Et dans l'étable on va chercher l'auto
Mais le petit veau, prenant ça pour du foin
De votre bagnole a bouffé les coussins

Quand on y va, bien plus vite on en repart

As it's the only one you'll find around

There's no garage, you have to park your car
In a stable, between a cow and a calf by far

But the worst part is, there's no water within
And to wash your face in the morning light
You have to go down to the garden pump, what a plight!

With a bucket, she fetches water from a pond

The toilet's not in the house, it's true,

You need a candle to get there at night,
