Eu pretendia escrever uma canção
Falando em coisa que jamais alguém falou
Deixar de lado as coisas do coração
E que por ti o meu pranto já rolou
Fiz um pedaço de poema tão bonito
Que até a própria natureza me invejou
Mas quando fui concluir o meu trabalho
Infelizmente meu talento fraquejou

Sinceramente compreendi minha querida
Que tu és em minha vida, minha glória, minha fé
E que sem ti sou um poeta sem valor
Porque sem o teu amor nem verso meu verso é

Alguma coisa atormentou meu pensamento
E eu não pude terminar minha canção
Fui obrigado a recordar certos momentos
Cheguei até a chorar de emoção
E o pedaço de poema tão bonito
Em pedacinhos, rasguei e joguei ao chão
Porque meus versos jamais seriam completos
Sem tua imagem que é a minha inspiração

I planned to write a song
Speaking about a thing no one ever spoke about
Putting aside the matters of the heart
And that, because of you, my tears have fallen
I made a piece of poem so beautiful
That even nature envied me
But when I went to finish my work
Unfortunately my talent failed me

Sincerely I understood my dear
That you are my life's glory, my faith
And that without you I am a worthless poet
Because without your love, not even my verse exists

Something tormented my thoughts
And I couldn't finish my song
I was forced to remember certain moments
I even cried out of emotion
And the beautiful piece of poem
I tore it into pieces and threw it to the ground
Because my verses would never be complete
Without your image, which inspires me

Sincerely I understood my dear
