As we pulled up to the luxurious hotel,
And I paid my fare,
The cabby turned around with a curious grin and asked me:
"Where you going? To work?"
And I looked back at him and I said:
"Work? Brother, I'm going to sleep!"

Tout scintillant et propre dans le lever du soleil.
Alors qu'on arrivait à l'hôtel de luxe,
Et que j'ai payé ma course,
Le chauffeur de taxi s'est retourné avec un sourire curieux et m'a demandé :
"Où tu vas ? Au boulot ?"
Je l'ai regardé et j'ai dit :
"Au boulot ? Mon pote, je vais dormir !"
