कोई समझाए ये क्या रंग है मैख़ाने का आँख साकी की उठे नाम हो पैमाने का।
गर्मी-ए-शमा का अफ़साना सुनाने वालों
रक्स देखा नहीं तुमने अभी परवाने का।
चश्म-ए-साकी मुझे हर गाम पे याद आती
है, रास्ता भूल न जाऊँ कहीं मैख़ाने का।
अब तो हर शाम गुज़रती है उसी कूचे
में ये नतीजा हुआ ना से तेरे समझाने का।
मंज़िल-ए-ग़म से गुज़रना तो है आसाँ
′इक़बाल' इश्क है नाम ख़ुद अपने से गुज़र जाने का।
