And you know if you've listened to country radio at all in the last few months
I know you've heard this next song, "You Look Like I Need a Drink"
It's the first song Justin released off his brand-new album
And I wondered why that song as the first introduction to this new project?
Well, you know, we were off of radio with new music for, you know, six, eight months
Or whatever it was, which was good for me personally and professionally
It was good to just take a deep breath
And try to see where we wanted to go next with our music
And this music on this album, there's a really good combination
Between things like "You Look Like I Need a Drink"
Which is pretty much right down my alley
You know, right in my wheelhouse
And stuff that's a little bit different for us
Which is something we have to continue to push ourselves to do
But had we come right back out with something right after the previous single
We probably would have put something different out
But seeing as how we were off of radio for six, eight months
We didn't want to freak everybody out after being gone for a little bit
So we thought, man, let's give them something that they know is me
And they go, "Okay, it's Justin"
Plus, at the time we put that out, we had guys going
"Man, I need some country, country music"
And that's a pretty country song
So uh, we felt pretty good about it
I think it's a big old hit for Justin Moore
