Invocation
My dear, let me cleanse the mirror of my mind at the lotus feet of the Guru,
And sing of Lord Raghubara, whose immaculate glory grants the four fruits of life.
Knowing my body and intellect are weak, I remember the son of the Wind,
Grant me strength, wisdom, and knowledge, and remove my sorrows and afflictions.
I worship Lord Hanuman! I worship Lord Hanuman!
Victory to Hanuman, the ocean of wisdom and virtue,
Victory to the Lord of Monkeys, who illuminates the three worlds.
Messenger of Rama, with unmatched strength and power,
Son of Anjani, known as the "Son of the Wind."
Anjani's son, named the "Son of the Wind."
The great hero, the mighty Bajrangbali,
Remover of bad thoughts, companion of good intellect.
With a golden complexion, adorned in a beautiful attire,
With earrings and curly hair.
Holding a thunderbolt and a flag,
With a sacred thread across his shoulder.
The golden son of Kesari, dear to Shiva,
Whose brilliant aura is revered by the entire world.
Wise, virtuous, and supremely intelligent,
Always eager to serve Lord Rama.
Devoted to listening to the Lord's stories,
With Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita residing in his heart.
Assuming a tiny form, he appeared before Sita,
And in a gigantic form, he set Lanka ablaze.
Taking a fearsome form, he slayed demons,
And accomplished all tasks for Lord Ramachandra.
Bringing the life-restoring herb, he revived Lakshmana,
And brought immense joy to Lord Raghubeera.
Raghupati showered him with great praise,
"Brother, you are dear to me as Bharat!"
The Lord of the Raghus praised you greatly-
"Brother, you are dear to me as Bharat!"
A thousand-mouthed serpent sings your glories,
Saying this, Shreepati embraced him.
Sanaka, Sanandana, Brahma, and other sages,
Narada, Saraswati, along with Sheshnag,
Yama, Kubera, and all the guardians of directions,
Even poets and scholars cannot fully describe your greatness.
You greatly helped Sugriva,
United him with Rama, and made him king.
Vibhishana followed your advice,
And became the Lord of Lanka, known throughout the world.
The sun, thousands of miles away,
You playfully swallowed it, mistaking it for a sweet fruit.
Carrying the Lord's ring in your mouth,
You leaped across the ocean, which is no surprise.
You overcome the world's most difficult tasks,
And your grace makes them easy.
You are the guardian at Rama's door,
No one can enter without your permission.
All joys are attained by those who seek your refuge,
You are the protector, there is no need to fear.
You alone can control your immense power,
The three worlds tremble at your roar.
Ghosts and goblins dare not come near,
When the name of the great hero, Mahavir, is uttered.
Diseases vanish and all pains are relieved,
By constantly chanting the name of the valiant Hanuman.
Hanuman rescues from all dangers,
Those who meditate on him with mind, word, and deed.
Rama, the ascetic king, is above all,
You fulfill all his wishes.
Whoever expresses any desire,
Receives the fruit of a long and prosperous life.
Your glory shines brightly throughout the four ages,
You are the renowned illuminator of the world.
You are the protector of saints and sages,
The destroyer of demons, and Rama's beloved.
You are the giver of eight siddhis and nine nidhis,
Mother Janaki bestowed this boon upon you.
The essence of devotion to Rama lies with you,
May you forever remain the servant of Raghupati.
Through your devotion, one attains Rama,
And forgets the sorrows of birth and death.
At the time of death, one reaches Raghubara's abode,
And is reborn as a devotee of Hari.
No other deity is worshipped,
Hanuman alone grants all happiness.
Troubles vanish and all pains are erased,
For those who remember the mighty Hanuman.
Victory, victory, victory to Lord Hanuman!
Please bestow your grace, O Gurudev,
Whoever recites this Chalisa a hundred times,
Will be freed from bondage and attain great happiness.
Whoever reads this Hanuman Chalisa,
Will attain perfection, as witnessed by Goddess Parvati.
Tulsidas is forever a servant of Hari,
Please make your eternal abode in my heart.
O son of the Wind, remover of difficulties, with an auspicious and beautiful form,
Along with Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita, please reside in my heart, O Lord.
