Jalwah Numma Khawaja - Nusrat Fateh Ali KhanÜbersetzung ins Englische

Jalwah Numma Khawaja
The Splendor of Khawaja
Sun dard kahaani karbal di
Listen to the tale of sorrow from Karbala,
Akhan khoon de neer uchaal diyan
Eyes shedding tears of blood,
Karbal vich jhokan lutiyaan ne
In Karbala, the tyrants plundered,
Zahra te ali de laal diyan
The precious ones of Zahra and Ali.
Dil de soz de baaj nahi pata lagda
The heart's burning pain is immeasurable,
Sunniye karbal da haal te ki hunda
Listen, what transpired in Karbala?
Puchcho dasvin muharaam da aashiqan nu
Ask the lovers of the tenth Muharram,
Jadon aawe khayaal te ki hunda
When the memory comes, what happens?
Godi baap de tadaf ke ik waari
Once in the father's lap, he writhed,
Ankhan meett laye baal te ki hunda
Eyes closed upon seeing the hair, what happens?
Sayim puchcho muhammad nu vich karbal
Ask the Prophet, in the midst of Karbala,
Maari jaawe je aal te ki hunda
If struck by stones, what happens?
Sanu pata ki veer di laash jis dam
We know, the moment the brother's corpse,
Aake labhdi e bhain te ki hunda
Is found by the sister, what happens?
Dard mandan de dilan nu puch jaake
Ask the hearts of the sorrowful,
Cham cham barsan je nain te ki hunda
When tears rain from the eyes, what happens?
Pucho aabad nu ankhan de saamne je
Ask Aabid, if before his eyes,
Kadiyan phuphi nu pain te ki hunda
His aunt is shackled and suffers, what happens?
Puchcho zahra nu khanjar di dhaar thalle
Ask Zahra, beneath the blade of the dagger,
Jadon tadfe hussain te ki hunda
When Hussain writhes, what happens?
Phat gaye jigar pahadan de vi kamb gaya jag saara
Hearts shattered, mountains trembled, the whole world shook,
Jad asghar de naazak halkon chchuteya khoon phwaara
When from Asghar's delicate throat, a fountain of blood erupted.
Sadke sabar tere ton sayim sayyid shah sawaara
Sacrifice to your patience, O Sayyid, the Prince of riders,
Jaan ditti par aan na diiti haider de dildaara
You gave your life, but not your honor, O beloved of Haider.
Karbal vich jadd aal nabi di uthi bad kirdaaran
In Karbala, when the family of the Prophet rose, with their noble character,
Hooran tadfiyan jannat andar arsheen pain pukaaran
Hoors in paradise lament, the Arsh cries out in pain.
Sayim tadaf ke aakhe zainab lai nana hun saaran
Sayyid, writhing, Zainab cries out, "Grandfather, I am ruined."
Bagh ujaad ditta ajj tera ummat de badkirdaaran
Your garden is destroyed today, by the treacherous ones of your Ummah.
Tak veer nu de laashe tayin tadaf payi hamsheera
Seeing her brother's corpse, the sister laments,
Ik te gal akheeri kar lai bhain luti deya veera
One last conversation, the sister speaks, the brother is lost.
Bhain ghareeb diyan sadran mukkiyan mereya veera
Sister of the poor, unveiling her face, "Oh my brother!"
Gir gaye phul sehre da sayim khoon ch rangeya jheera
The flowers of the wedding procession fell, Sayyid, blood stained the bridal dress.
Haider akbar te chal gayiyaan zulm diyan shamsheeran
Haider, Akbar departed, under the swords of tyranny,
Odher bhain udeekan kardi khat nahi ghaleya veeran
The sister cries out, "No letter has arrived from my brother."
Haawaan maar ke royiyaan raahwan kamb diyan si zanjeeran
She weeps, lamenting, the chains of the oppressors tremble.
Kaidi ho jad duniya sayim nabi diyan tasveeran
When the images of the Prophet are imprisoned, Sayyid,
Karbal vich jhokan luttiyan ne
In Karbala, the tyrants plundered,
Zahra te ali de laal diyan
The precious ones of Zahra and Ali.
Dil hileya arsh muallah da
The Throne of Allah trembled,
Aaya larzan nu bade khizran nu
Khizr came, trembling,
Kamb utheya roza zahra da
Zahra's shrine shook,
Sun cheekan asghar baal diyan
Listen to the cries of little Asghar.
Hooran de athru dul gaye ne
Hoors' tears spilled,
Atte dhaawan maariyan kursiyan ne
The chairs of the Divine Throne shook,
Karbal vich laashan tadaf diyan
In Karbala, corpses writhe,
Tak tak ke aseer di aal diyan
Seeing the family of the Prophet in chains.
Maqtal chon langdeyan zainab ne
Zainab stumbled from the battlefield,
Keha laashe vekh shaheedan de
Saying, "Look at the corpses of the martyrs."
Kithe chchup gayon mere chann veeran
Where have my moon-like brothers hidden?
Tainu kehndi bhaina bhaal diyan
Your sister calls out, searching for you.
Kidda kehar te zulm kamaaya e
What calamity and oppression have you endured?
Lai akbar da laasha sayyid jad kheme wal aaya
When Sayyid brought Akbar's corpse to the tent,
Asmaanan nu larza aaya malkan hosh wanjaaya
The heavens shuddered, the angels lost consciousness.
Zainab bhain nu aake sayim sayyid ne farmaaya
Coming to Zainab, Sayyid said,
Lutt leya ajj bhaina tera kufiyan sab sarmaaya
"Sister, today, all your wealth has been looted."
Cham cham khoon ankhan chon wagda dil tukde ho jaaye
Blood flows from the eyes, the heart breaks into pieces,
Karbal waale peer sachche di yaad jadon vi aawe
Whenever the memory of the true saint of Karbala comes,
Raati bhi zehra di sayim hanju payi wagawe
Even at night, Zahra cries, shedding tears.
Laashan nu payi waajan maare atte veer veer kurlaawe
She wails over the corpses, crying out, "Brother, brother."
Sakhi hussain ne kam jo keeta kar nahi sakda koi
Sakhi, the deed Hussain did, none can do,
Koi nahi royiyaan vichchdan lagiyan jehve dhee hussain di royi
No one cried with such heartfelt pain as Hussain's daughter cried.
Veer jehde pardesi jaawan gham hijr da jaane soyi
The one whose brother goes abroad, knows the pain of separation,
Sayim mehshar tak nayi bhulni jehdi karbal de vich hoyi
Sayyid, till Judgement Day, what happened in Karbala won't be forgotten.
Jad ton sayyid mazloom shaheed hoya
Since the oppressed Sayyid was martyred,
Shafaq subah di ohde ton ratti ho gayi
The morning twilight has turned red from his blood.
Panjtan paak de gushan e paak utte
Upon the pure bodies of the Five Pure Ones,
Meri oh challi patti patti ho gayi
My shawl has been torn to shreds.
Jad akbar jawaan da khoon dulla
When the blood of young Akbar,
Ret karbalan di hor tatti ho gayi
Stained the sand of Karbala red.
Udhar zahra da bujheya chirag sayim
There, Zahra's lamp extinguished, Sayyid,
Udharon gul si kufr di batti ho gayi
And here, the flame of disbelief was lit.
Kidda kehar te zulm kamaaya e
What calamity and oppression have you endured?
Ral mil ke koofe waleyan ne
The people of Kufa gathered,
Sab kaliyan narm tharu sittiyan
And plucked all the delicate buds,
Panjtan de shajar de daal diyan
From the branches of the Five Pure Ones' tree.
Shabbeer de sar ne neze te
Shabbir's head, upon the spear,
Chad ke oh jalwa vekh leya
Rose and witnessed the splendor,
Oh toor utte chehre jalwe nu
That face, on Mount Sinai,
Musa diyan galiyan bhaaldiyan
Moses seeks glimpses of.
Dil hileya arsh muallah da
The Throne of Allah trembled,
Aaya larzan nu ate hizran nu
Khizr came, trembling,
Kamb utheya roza zahra da
Zahra's shrine shook,
Sunn cheekan asghar baal diyann
Listen to the cries of little Asghar.
Karbal vich tuttiyan hoyiyaan di
The tragedies of Karbala,
Nayi yaad bhulaayan bhul sakdi
Can never be forgotten,
Laye jaan muharram de das din
Taking the life of Muharram's ten days,
Sab khushiyan poore saal diyan
Brings all the joys of the entire year.
Maqtal chon langdeyan zainab ne
Zainab stumbled from the battlefield,
Keha laashe dekh shaheedan de
Saying, "Look at the corpses of the martyrs."
Kithe chchup gayon mere chann veeran
Where have my moon-like brothers hidden?
Tainu kehndi bhaina bhaal diyan
Your sister calls out, searching for you.
Je eh nahi qayaamat aye ′Sayim'
If this is not the Day of Judgement, Sayyid,
Pher hor qayaamat kehdi e
Then what is the Day of Judgement?
Ik mile na paani pyaseyan nu
The thirsty ones were denied even a drop of water,
Ik dhuban khanga bhaal diyan
And their bodies lie wounded and scarred.
Hooran de athru dul gaye ne
Hoors' tears spilled,
Gali gali madine de cheekh uthi
In every street of Madina, cries arose,
Jadon karbaal da shahsawaar tureya
When the rider of Karbala departed,
Eh te jigra hussain da hi jaande
Only Hussain's heart knows,
Kivein bachi nu deke pyar tureya
How he left, showering his daughter with love.
Ghar nu chchadd ke koi ni inj tureya
No one ever left home like this,
Maula ali da jivein dildaar tureya
As the beloved of Maula Ali departed,
Sayim tadfeya jag si jadon sayim
Sayyid, the world trembled when Sayyid,
Chadre amma de hujre nu maar chaleya
Kissed the cloth of his mother's chamber and left.
Hooran de athru dul gaye ne
Hoors' tears spilled,
Sakhi hussain di dard kahaani
Sakhi, the tale of Hussain's pain,
Bhala koi sun sakke
Can anyone bear to hear?
Hooran de athru dul gaye ne
Hoors' tears spilled,
Atte dhaawan maariyan kursiyan ne
And the chairs of the Divine Throne shook.
