And here what the white dog say
He say, "That rabbit smiled as he went by
He know he got you beat, that's why.
You wait here and I'll chase a while
Cause I hate to see a rabbit smile."
So off he go, off the white dog go.
Now when that little rabbit looked around
He jumped four feet off the ground
He said, "That big old dog that′s chasin′ me
Why, he's taken off his jacket and he′s runnin' free
He′s taken off his jacket and he's catchin′ me."
Now there's a moral to this story
For crazy rabbits with dreams of glory
Any rabbit think a dog wear a jacket
Should get out of the rabbit racket.
One dog's brother is another dog′s child
And no one likes to see a rabbit smile.

Через луга, мимо болот нес,
Они бежали.
Кролик прыгнул через пару оград,
Ведь кролики так делают, говорят.
Черный пес тоже прыгать был рад,
Они бежали.
У черного пса был брат родной,
Белый, как снег зимой.
Один на другого был похож,
Так история идет, моя крошка.
Черный пес гнал кролика по дороге,
И вдруг увидел морду знакомую, ей-богу.
Сказал: "Эй, белый пес, как дела?
Перехвати кролика, ну же, да?
Спасибо, проваливай!
Перехвати кролика,
А то сегодня без кроличьего рагу останемся, милая."
А вот что белый пес сказал,
Он сказал: "Кролик, пробегая, улыбался,
Он знает, что тебя обхитрил, вот так стараясь.
Ты жди здесь, а я погоняюсь,
Ненавижу, когда кролики улыбаются."
И побежал, белый пес побежал.
Кролик оглянулся назад,
Подпрыгнул на метр от земли,
И сказал: "Тот огромный пес, что меня гнал,
Он снял свою куртку и бежать погнал,
Он снял свою куртку и догоняет меня!"
Мораль сей басни такова,
Для глупых кроликов, мечтающих о великолепии снова:
Любой кролик, думающий, что пес носит куртку,
Должен завязать с кроличьей шуткой.

И никто не любит видеть улыбку кролика.
