Domine, Jesu Christe, Rex gloriae,
libera animas omniurn fidelium defunctorum
de poenis inferni, et de prof undo lacu:
libera cas de ore leonis,
ne absorbeat eas tartarus, ne cadant in obscurum,

sed signifer sanctus Michael
repraesentet eas in lucem sanctam,
quam olim Abrahae promisisti
et semini ejus.

Hostias et preces, tibi, Domine,
laudis offerimus:
tu suscipe pro animabus illis,
quarum hodie memoriam facimus:

Offertory

Lord, Jesus Christ, King of glory,
deliver the souls of all the faithful departed
from the pains of hell, and from the deep abyss:
deliver them from the lion's mouth,
lest Tartarus swallow them, lest they fall into darkness,

but let the holy standard-bearer Michael
present them to the holy light,
which you once promised to Abraham
and his seed.

We offer to you, Lord,
sacrifices and prayers of praise:
receive them on behalf of those souls,
of whom we make remembrance today:
grant them, O Lord, to pass from death to life,
which you once promised to Abraham
and his seed.
