E da varanda avista a passarada

Bebi um gole e fiz meu pensamento

Foi quando eu vi no campo o trigo dourado
A tal menina de cabelos ondulados
A pele a branca tinha um cheiro de flor

I'm from a time when serenaders sang
A penniless, baggage-less fiddler, without a dime

Following the waters of this river I became a good horseman

I made my home at the foot of that mountain range

That followed the path to this spring in excitement

With pure water, icy cold and crystal clear
This spring water is a sacred thing
I took a sip and made a wish
If I'm deserving, it's time I had my own girl

That's when I saw the golden wheat in the field
That girl with the wavy hair
Her pale skin smelled like flowers
But I knew that love made everything fragrant

And we looked at each other with great care and amazement
