Die Menschheit ist sich ziemlich einig:
Man sagt kollektiv, ich sei peinlich.
Dies Urteil ist relativ schlecht, aber leider gerecht...
Auf einer Party, zu der ich noch nicht mal eingeladen war,
Sah ich eine junge Dame, und mir war sofort klar:
An dieses hübsche Wesen mach ich mich ran - darum sprach ich sie an:
"Was macht ′ne Superspitzenklassefrau, wie Sie eine sind,
Auf einer Party, die ich, kurz gesagt, todlangweilig find'?"
Sie sagte kühl: "Das hat durchaus seinen Sinn: Ich bin die Gastgeberin."
Dumm gelaufen, da hab ich wieder mal Pech gehabt,
Vielleicht bin ich auch einfach unbegabt,
Man nennt mich den gesellschaftlichen Overkill.
Ein Elefant im Porzellanladen ist nicht so schlimm wie der Totalschaden,
Den ich hinterlasse, wenn ich zu ′ner Klasse-Frau nur höflich sein will.
Ein and'res Mal war ich bei meiner neuen Flamme zu Haus',
Da kam ′ne Dame rein, die sah wie ihre Großmutter aus.
Und weil das höflich ist und nett und charmant, küß′ ich galant ihre Hand.
Ich fragte, ob ich ihr wohl mal ein Kompliment machen kann:
"Ihre achtzig Jahre sieht man Ihnen wirklich nicht an!"
Später hörte ich dann - was für ein Mist! - das sie erst sechzig ist!
Dumm gelaufen, da hab ich wieder mal Pech gehabt,
...
"Glück im Spiel - Pech im Benehmen": Wär' was dran an diesem Motto,
Dann hätt′ ich jeden Samstag einen Volltreffer im Lotto!
Neulich hatt' ich ′ne Brünette auf dem Beifahrersitz.
Ich erzählte ihr den neuesten Blondinenwitz.
Doch damit hab' ich auch bei ihr nix geerbt:
Die Haare war′n nur gefärbt!
Jetzt bin ich immer noch allein. Ich such' 'ne Frau, und zwar ′ne Nette,
Die nix versteht von Höflichkeit und nix von Etikette.
Als Frau für′s Leben suche ich
Einen Trampel wie mich!
Dumm gelaufen, aber dann wird alles schöner sein:
Immer zu zweit in jeden Fettnapf rein,
Und keine Angst, sich vor der Menschheit zu blamier'n.
Ich könnt′ mich endlich ganz normal geben,
So wie ich bin - das ist zwar voll daneben,
Doch sie wär genauso, und würd' auch als Frau so was wie mich akzeptier′n.

A lady came in who looked like her grandmother.
And because that's polite and nice and charming, I gallantly kiss her hand.
I asked if I could perhaps pay her a compliment:
"You really don't look eighty years old!"
Later I heard - what a bummer! - that she's only sixty!
Bad luck, there I go again,

"Lucky in games - unlucky in love": If there were any truth to this motto,
Then I'd hit the jackpot every Saturday!
Recently I had a brunette in the passenger seat.
I told her the latest blonde joke.
But that didn't get me anywhere with her either:
Her hair was just dyed!
Now I'm still alone. I'm looking for a woman, a nice one,
Who doesn't understand anything about politeness or etiquette.
As a woman for life, I'm looking for
A klutz like me!
Bad luck, but then everything will be better:
Always stepping into every faux pas together,
And no fear of embarrassing ourselves in front of humanity.
I could finally act normal,
Just the way I am - even though it's completely off the mark,
But she'd be the same, and would accept something like me as a woman.
