بِسْمِ
اللَّهِ
الرَّحْمَنِ
الرَّحِيمِ
In
the
name
of
Allah,
the
Most
Gracious,
the
Most
Merciful.
سَبَّحَ
لِلَّهِ
مَا
فِي
السَّمَاوَاتِ
وَمَا
فِي
الْأَرْضِ
Whatever
is
in
the
heavens
and
whatever
is
on
the
earth
exalts
Allah.
وَهُوَ
الْعَزِيزُ
الْحَكِيمُ
(1)
And
He
is
the
Exalted
in
Might,
the
Wise.
(1)
هُوَ
الَّذِي
أَخْرَجَ
الَّذِينَ
كَفَرُوا
مِنْ
أَهْلِ
It
is
He
who
expelled
the
ones
who
disbelieved
among
the
People
of
the
Scripture
الْكِتَابِ
مِنْ
دِيَارِهِمْ
لِأَوَّلِ
الْحَشْرِ
from
their
homes
at
the
first
gathering.
مَا
ظَنَنْتُمْ
أَنْ
يَخْرُجُوا
وَظَنُّوا
أَنَّهُمْ
You
did
not
think
they
would
leave,
and
they
thought
that
their
fortresses
مَانِعَتُهُمْ
حُصُونُهُمْ
مِنَ
اللَّهِ
would
protect
them
from
Allah
.
فَأَتَاهُمُ
اللَّهُ
مِنْ
حَيْثُ
لَمْ
يَحْتَسِبُوا
وَقَذَفَ
فِي
قُلُوبِهِمُ
الرُّعْبَ
But
Allah
came
upon
them
from
where
they
had
not
expected,
and
He
cast
terror
into
their
hearts,
يُخْرِبُونَ
بُيُوتَهُمْ
بِأَيْدِيهِمْ
وَأَيْدِي
الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
فَاعْتَبِرُوا
يَا
أُولِي
الْأَبْصَارِ
(2)
[so]
they
destroyed
their
homes
by
their
own
hands
and
the
hands
of
the
believers.
So
take
warning,
O
people
of
vision.
(2)
وَلَوْلَا
أَنْ
كَتَبَ
اللَّهُ
عَلَيْهِمُ
الْجَلَاءَ
لَعَذَّبَهُمْ
فِي
الدُّنْيَا
And
had
it
not
been
that
Allah
had
decreed
exile
for
them,
He
would
have
punished
them
in
this
world
وَلَهُمْ
فِي
الْآخِرَةِ
عَذَابُ
النَّارِ
(3)
ذَلِكَ
بِأَنَّهُمْ
شَاقُّوا
اللَّهَ
وَرَسُولَهُ
and
for
them
in
the
Hereafter
is
the
punishment
of
the
Fire.
(3)
That
is
because
they
opposed
Allah
and
His
Messenger.
وَمَنْ
يُشَاقِّ
اللَّهَ
فَإِنَّ
اللَّهَ
شَدِيدُ
الْعِقَابِ
(4)
مَا
قَطَعْتُمْ
مِنْ
لِينَةٍ
And
whoever
opposes
Allah
- then
indeed,
Allah
is
severe
in
punishment.
(4)
Whatever
you
have
cut
down
of
[date
palm]
trees
أَوْ
تَرَكْتُمُوهَا
قَائِمَةً
عَلَى
أُصُولِهَا
فَبِإِذْنِ
اللَّهِ
وَلِيُخْزِيَ
الْفَاسِقِينَ
(5)
or
left
standing
on
their
roots
- it
is
by
permission
of
Allah
, and
so
that
He
will
disgrace
the
defiantly
disobedient.
(5)
وَمَا
أَفَاءَ
اللَّهُ
عَلَى
رَسُولِهِ
مِنْهُمْ
فَمَا
أَوْجَفْتُمْ
عَلَيْهِ
مِنْ
خَيْلٍ
And
what
Allah
restored
to
His
Messenger
from
them
- you
did
not
spur
horses
or
camels
against
it,
وَلَا
رِكَابٍ
وَلَكِنَّ
اللَّهَ
يُسَلِّطُ
رُسُلَهُ
عَلَى
مَنْ
يَشَاءُ
وَاللَّهُ
عَلَى
كُلِّ
شَيْءٍ
قَدِيرٌ
(6)
but
Allah
gives
His
messengers
power
over
whom
He
wills,
and
Allah
is
over
all
things
competent.
(6)
مَا
أَفَاءَ
اللَّهُ
عَلَى
رَسُولِهِ
مِنْ
أَهْلِ
الْقُرَى
فَلِلَّهِ
وَلِلرَّسُولِ
What
Allah
restored
to
His
Messenger
from
the
people
of
the
towns
- it
is
for
Allah
and
for
the
Messenger
وَلِذِي
الْقُرْبَى
وَالْيَتَامَى
وَالْمَسَاكِينِ
وَابْنِ
السَّبِيلِ
and
for
[his]
near
relatives
and
orphans
and
the
needy
and
the
[stranded]
traveler
-
كَيْ
لَا
يَكُونَ
دُولَةً
بَيْنَ
الْأَغْنِيَاءِ
مِنْكُمْ
وَمَا
آتَاكُمُ
الرَّسُولُ
فَخُذُوهُ
so
that
it
will
not
be
a
perpetual
distribution
among
the
rich
from
among
you.
And
whatever
the
Messenger
has
given
you
- take;
وَمَا
نَهَاكُمْ
عَنْهُ
فَانْتَهُوا
وَاتَّقُوا
اللَّهَ
إِنَّ
اللَّهَ
شَدِيدُ
الْعِقَابِ
(7)
and
what
he
has
forbidden
you
- refrain
[from
it].
And
fear
Allah
; indeed,
Allah
is
severe
in
punishment.
(7)
لِلْفُقَرَاءِ
الْمُهَاجِرِينَ
الَّذِينَ
أُخْرِجُوا
مِنْ
دِيَارِهِمْ
وَأَمْوَالِهِمْ
[It
is
also]
for
the
poor
emigrants
who
were
expelled
from
their
homes
and
their
properties
يَبْتَغُونَ
فَضْلًا
مِنَ
اللَّهِ
وَرِضْوَانًا
وَيَنْصُرُونَ
اللَّهَ
وَرَسُولَهُ
seeking
bounty
from
Allah
and
[His]
approval
and
supporting
Allah
and
His
Messenger.
أُولَئِكَ
هُمُ
الصَّادِقُونَ
(8)
وَالَّذِينَ
تَبَوَّءُوا
الدَّارَ
وَالْإِيمَانَ
مِنْ
قَبْلِهِمْ
Those
are
the
truthful.
(8)
And
[also
for]
those
who
were
settled
in
the
home
and
[adopted]
the
faith
before
them.
يُحِبُّونَ
مَنْ
هَاجَرَ
إِلَيْهِمْ
وَلَا
يَجِدُونَ
فِي
صُدُورِهِمْ
حَاجَةً
مِمَّا
أُوتُوا
They
love
those
who
emigrated
to
them
and
do
not
find
in
their
breasts
any
need
for
what
they
were
given
وَيُؤْثِرُونَ
عَلَى
أَنْفُسِهِمْ
وَلَوْ
كَانَ
بِهِمْ
خَصَاصَةٌ
but
give
[them]
preference
over
themselves,
even
if
they
are
in
privation.
وَمَنْ
يُوقَ
شُحَّ
نَفْسِهِ
فَأُولَئِكَ
هُمُ
الْمُفْلِحُونَ
(9)
And
whoever
is
protected
from
the
stinginess
of
his
soul
- it
is
those
who
will
be
the
successful.
(9)
وَالَّذِينَ
جَاءُوا
مِنْ
بَعْدِهِمْ
يَقُولُونَ
رَبَّنَا
اغْفِرْ
لَنَا
And
those
who
came
after
them
say,
"Our
Lord,
forgive
us
وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا
الَّذِينَ
سَبَقُونَا
بِالْإِيمَانِ
وَلَا
تَجْعَلْ
فِي
قُلُوبِنَا
and
our
brothers
who
preceded
us
in
faith
and
put
not
in
our
hearts
غِلًّا
لِلَّذِينَ
آمَنُوا
رَبَّنَا
إِنَّكَ
رَءُوفٌ
رَحِيمٌ
(10)
[any]
resentment
toward
those
who
have
believed.
Our
Lord,
indeed
You
are
Kind
and
Merciful."
(10)
أَلَمْ
تَرَ
إِلَى
الَّذِينَ
نَافَقُوا
يَقُولُونَ
لِإِخْوَانِهِمُ
الَّذِينَ
كَفَرُوا
مِنْ
أَهْلِ
الْكِتَابِ
Have
you
not
considered
those
who
practiced
hypocrisy,
saying
to
their
brothers
who
disbelieved
among
the
People
of
the
Scripture,
لَئِنْ
أُخْرِجْتُمْ
لَنَخْرُجَنَّ
مَعَكُمْ
وَلَا
نُطِيعُ
فِيكُمْ
أَحَدًا
أَبَدًا
"If
you
are
expelled,
we
will
surely
leave
with
you,
and
we
will
not
obey
anyone
concerning
you,
ever.
وَإِنْ
قُوتِلْتُمْ
لَنَنْصُرَنَّكُمْ
وَاللَّهُ
يَشْهَدُ
إِنَّهُمْ
لَكَاذِبُونَ
(11)
And
if
you
are
fought,
we
will
surely
aid
you."
But
Allah
testifies
that
indeed
they
are
liars.
(11)
لَئِنْ
أُخْرِجُوا
لَا
يَخْرُجُونَ
مَعَهُمْ
وَلَئِنْ
قُوتِلُوا
لَا
يَنْصُرُونَهُمْ
If
they
are
expelled,
they
will
not
leave
with
them,
and
if
they
are
fought,
they
will
not
aid
them.
وَلَئِنْ
نَصَرُوهُمْ
لَيُوَلُّنَّ
الْأَدْبَارَ
ثُمَّ
لَا
يُنْصَرُونَ
(12)
And
[even]
if
they
should
aid
them,
they
would
surely
turn
their
backs;
then
they
would
not
be
aided.
(12)
لَأَنْتُمْ
أَشَدُّ
رَهْبَةً
فِي
صُدُورِهِمْ
مِنَ
اللَّهِ
ذَلِكَ
بِأَنَّهُمْ
قَوْمٌ
لَا
يَفْقَهُونَ
(13)
They
are
more
fearful
of
you
within
their
breasts
than
of
Allah
. That
is
because
they
are
a
people
who
do
not
understand.
(13)
لَا
يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ
جَمِيعًا
إِلَّا
فِي
قُرًى
مُحَصَّنَةٍ
أَوْ
مِنْ
وَرَاءِ
جُدُرٍ
They
will
not
fight
you
all
except
within
fortified
cities
or
from
behind
walls.
بَأْسُهُمْ
بَيْنَهُمْ
شَدِيدٌ
تَحْسَبُهُمْ
جَمِيعًا
وَقُلُوبُهُمْ
شَتَّى
ذَلِكَ
بِأَنَّهُمْ
قَوْمٌ
لَا
يَعْقِلُونَ
(14)
Their
fighting
among
themselves
is
severe.
You
think
they
are
together,
but
their
hearts
are
diverse.
That
is
because
they
are
a
people
who
do
not
reason.
(14)
كَمَثَلِ
الَّذِينَ
مِنْ
قَبْلِهِمْ
قَرِيبًا
ذَاقُوا
وَبَالَ
أَمْرِهِمْ
وَلَهُمْ
عَذَابٌ
أَلِيمٌ
(15)
[They
are]
like
those
before
them
not
long
ago;
they
tasted
the
evil
result
of
their
affair,
and
for
them
is
a
painful
punishment.
(15)
كَمَثَلِ
الشَّيْطَانِ
إِذْ
قَالَ
لِلْإِنْسَانِ
اكْفُرْ
فَلَمَّا
كَفَرَ
قَالَ
إِنِّي
بَرِيءٌ
مِنْكَ
[Their
condition
is]
like
that
of
Satan
when
he
says
to
man,
"Disbelieve."
But
when
he
disbelieves,
he
says,
"Indeed,
I
am
disassociated
from
you;
إِنِّي
أَخَافُ
اللَّهَ
رَبَّ
الْعَالَمِينَ
(16)
indeed,
I
fear
Allah
, Lord
of
the
worlds."
(16)
فَكَانَ
عَاقِبَتَهُمَا
أَنَّهُمَا
فِي
النَّارِ
خَالِدَيْنِ
فِيهَا
وَذَلِكَ
جَزَاءُ
الظَّالِمِينَ
(17)
So
the
outcome
for
both
of
them
is
that
they
will
be
in
the
Fire,
abiding
eternally
therein,
and
that
is
the
recompense
of
the
wrongdoers.
(17)
يَا
أَيُّهَا
الَّذِينَ
آمَنُوا
اتَّقُوا
اللَّهَ
وَلْتَنْظُرْ
نَفْسٌ
مَا
قَدَّمَتْ
لِغَدٍ
O
you
who
have
believed,
fear
Allah
. And
let
every
soul
look
to
what
it
has
put
forth
for
tomorrow
-
وَاتَّقُوا
اللَّهَ
إِنَّ
اللَّهَ
خَبِيرٌ
بِمَا
تَعْمَلُونَ
(18)
and
fear
Allah
. Indeed,
Allah
is
Acquainted
with
what
you
do.
(18)
وَلَا
تَكُونُوا
كَالَّذِينَ
نَسُوا
اللَّهَ
فَأَنْسَاهُمْ
أَنْفُسَهُمْ
أُولَئِكَ
هُمُ
الْفَاسِقُونَ
(19)
And
do
not
be
like
those
who
forgot
Allah
, and
He
caused
them
to
forget
themselves.
Those
are
the
defiantly
disobedient.
(19)
لَا
يَسْتَوِي
أَصْحَابُ
النَّارِ
وَأَصْحَابُ
الْجَنَّةِ
أَصْحَابُ
الْجَنَّةِ
هُمُ
الْفَائِزُونَ
(20)
Not
equal
are
the
companions
of
the
Fire
and
the
companions
of
Paradise.
The
companions
of
Paradise
- they
are
the
attainers
[of
success].
(20)
لَوْ
أَنْزَلْنَا
هَذَا
الْقُرْآنَ
عَلَى
جَبَلٍ
لَرَأَيْتَهُ
خَاشِعًا
مُتَصَدِّعًا
مِنْ
خَشْيَةِ
اللَّهِ
Had
We
sent
down
this
Qur'an
upon
a
mountain,
you
would
have
seen
it
humbled
and
coming
apart
from
fear
of
Allah
.
وَتِلْكَ
الْأَمْثَالُ
نَضْرِبُهَا
لِلنَّاسِ
لَعَلَّهُمْ
يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
(21)
And
these
examples
We
present
to
the
people
that
perhaps
they
will
give
thought.
(21)
هُوَ
اللَّهُ
الَّذِي
لَا
إِلَهَ
إِلَّا
هُوَ
عَالِمُ
الْغَيْبِ
وَالشَّهَادَةِ

الْمُصَوِّرُ

exalts
Him.
