Good buddy of mine named Jaren Johnston.
Jaren′s a really talented songwriter,
He actually has been very successful in the country world.
He and I got together at my house in Silver Lake, in Los Angeles.
I guess it was, I don't know, several years ago now
Maybe 2008, 2009
And I had this idea
Because I′m sort of a person who obsessively sleeps
With my television running in the background
As kind of like white noise
And we kind of tried to look at the the idea of
You know, growing up and being married
And what that looks like
And maybe these two people are in an argument and and
Sort of the only way to drown it out is to keep the television running
To sort of distract, to distract them
And ultimately there's a silver lining
Where they kind of make it through
But, uh, but this this was that song.
