29th of July, weather is clear
One adult asked me, "What is your dream?"
As if my dream explained who I am
When I said I had no dream
The look on the adult's face

29 juillet, le temps est clair
Un adulte m'a demandé : "Quel est ton rêve ?"
Comme si mon rêve expliquait qui je suis
Quand j'ai dit que je n'avais pas de rêve
Le regard de l'adulte
Était comme celui d'un enfant sans nom
Ce regard me semblait familier
Bien que l'étude ne soit pas vraiment mon truc
J'ai fait de mon mieux
Mes parents étaient heureux
Quand je leur apportais de bonnes notes
Marcher sur le même chemin au même moment
J'ai continué ma vie sans expression
Beaucoup de livres me disent
"Regarde les étoiles dans le ciel nocturne
Et deviens la personne qui brille comme ces étoiles"
Mais les étoiles que j'ai regardées dans le ciel ne brillaient pas du tout
Alors je continue de marcher
En regardant le sol
Soudain, il m'est arrivé une chose étrange
Alors que je marchais
Un enfant est venu vers moi et a commencé à me parler
"Il n'y a rien à regarder sur le sol
Lève la tête"
Cet enfant était un peu bizarre
L'enfant m'a regardé avec un sourire radieux
Et avait une lueur pure sur son visage
Mais il semble que cet enfant
Avait la même expression dans les yeux que moi
À partir de ce moment-là, nous avons commencé à nous retrouver quelques fois
En montant le son de la musique et en dansant ensemble
C'était la partie la plus excitante de nos sorties
Pour la première fois, je me suis vraiment senti vivant

Et ces picotements
Qui montaient du bout de mes doigts ont commencé à me submerger
Y a-t-il eu un moment où j'ai voulu quelque chose avec autant d'intensité ?
Un à un, de plus en plus d'enfants ont commencé à dire mon nom
Le chemin que j'ai parcouru
Avec une seule autre personne est devenu un chemin pour beaucoup
