What is authentic faith?
The cultivation of an optimistic outlook on
Life with a kind of spirituality attached to it?
A holy hoping for the best?
Is this how you think of faith?
Authentic faith is the confident assurance in events not yet seen
Faith is not a call to believe in
Things when common sense tells you not to
Faith is not a mindless stab in the dark
It is not a crossing of the fingers and hoping for the best
It is not a leap into apparent nothingness
It′s a word that speaks of reasoned,
Careful, deliberate, intentional thought
Thought upon what? God and his promises
If you are absolutely gripped by the coming realities that have been
Promised to you by God,
Then how you live your life in the present will be
Radically different than if you did not possess that certainty
This is what faith is, my friends!
Positive certainty expressed in action
Authentic faith is not merely believing in God. It is believing God
Taking God at his word,
Living in obedience to his revelation whatever the cost because you
Know down deep in your bones that God will
Always do what he says, that his speaking is his doing
It is an abiding assurance in God in his promises
That animates you to persevere in your obedience to Him
Do you wish to be a more consistently obedient,
Steadily persevering Christian? A stronger Christian?
A more courageous and outspoken
Christian? Then you need to strengthen your faith!
Your faith instinctively strengthens in direct
Proportion to the expansion of the object of your faith
You expand your understanding of the object of
Your faith and faith itself will obediently follow
The object of your faith---if indeed you are a
Christian---is Jesus Christ and all of his promises
Is your faith weak?
It is owing to the fact you don't
Know the object of your faith well enough
But when Jesus Christ becomes progressively bigger, or better yet,
Your understanding of who he is progressively conforms
To reality, your faith will become increasingly stronger
But how does that happen?
By immersing yourself in the
Faith-arousing Word of God. Read of Jesus Christ
The same powerful Word that long ago brought the universe to life is
The same Word that can bring you to life and furnish
You with a faith that is truly and authentically Christian

Qu'est-ce que la foi authentique ?
La culture d'une vision optimiste de la

Un saint espoir pour le meilleur ?
Est-ce ainsi que tu penses à la foi ?
La foi authentique est l'assurance confiante dans des événements qui ne sont pas encore visibles.
La foi n'est pas un appel à croire en
Les choses quand le bon sens te dit de ne pas le faire
La foi n'est pas un coup d'épée aveugle dans l'obscurité
Ce n'est pas un croisement de doigts et un espoir pour le meilleur
Ce n'est pas un saut dans le néant apparent
C'est un mot qui parle de pensées raisonnées,
Précises, délibérées, intentionnelles
Pensées sur quoi ? Dieu et ses promesses
Si tu es absolument saisi par les réalités à venir qui t'ont été
Promise par Dieu,
Alors la façon dont tu vis ta vie dans le présent sera
Radicalement différente de si tu ne possédais pas cette certitude
C'est ce qu'est la foi, ma chérie !
Certitude positive exprimée en action
La foi authentique ne consiste pas seulement à croire en Dieu. C'est croire Dieu
Prendre Dieu au mot,
Vivre dans l'obéissance à sa révélation, quel qu'en soit le coût, parce que tu
Sache au plus profond de tes os que Dieu
Fera toujours ce qu'il dit, que sa parole est son action
C'est une assurance durable en Dieu, dans ses promesses
Qui t'anime à persévérer dans ton obéissance à Lui
Souhaites-tu être une chrétienne plus constamment obéissante,
Chrétienne persévérante, plus forte ?
Une chrétienne plus courageuse et plus ouverte
Chrétienne ? Alors tu dois renforcer ta foi !
Ta foi se renforce instinctivement en proportion directe
Proportion à l'expansion de l'objet de ta foi
Tu élargis ta compréhension de l'objet de
Ta foi et la foi elle-même suivra obéissance
L'objet de ta foi --- si en effet tu es un
Chrétien --- est Jésus-Christ et toutes ses promesses
Ta foi est-elle faible ?
C'est dû au fait que tu ne
Ne connais pas assez bien l'objet de ta foi
Mais quand Jésus-Christ devient progressivement plus grand, ou mieux encore,
Ta compréhension de qui il est se conforme progressivement
À la réalité, ta foi deviendra de plus en plus forte
Mais comment cela arrive-t-il ?
En t'immergeant dans le
Parole de Dieu qui suscite la foi. Lire de Jésus-Christ
La même Parole puissante qui a donné vie à l'univers il y a longtemps est
La même Parole qui peut te donner la vie et t'équiper
Tu avec une foi qui est vraiment et authentiquement chrétienne
