En 1987, quand on a décollé pour la première fois

Une démo funky fresh dans ma poche
On marchait, et on s'est fait dénigrer deux fois aujourd'hui
Puis on s'est arrêté au 1974 broadway
On est entré avec des sourires sur nos mentons
Et P avait du jus de la part de M. Virgo Simms
Il a joué la bande et on a commencé à rire

Les gens commencent à sourire à l'intérieur, on est en train de faire du buckwhylin'
Disant que tout ça a commencé à partir du freestyle
Ils ont aimé, et ils étaient très gentils

On est allés dans la salle arrière, les choses étaient luvy duvy
On a rencontré Ron Resnick, et son partenaire Juggy
Les choses étaient cool, comme je m'en souviens
On a signé la ligne pointillée, maintenant on est des membres d'un nouveau label
On avait des rêves, de voitures de luxe et de limousines
