I was in my father's car, we're driving to the grocery store
And, this is an idea -like, how long it takes me to even- deal with writing a song
It's a- this was during the recording of the first album
And I was miserable, haha
And it was like a Saturday, and my dad and I were driving to the grocery store
And I was just chilling, sitting, sulking in
And I looked up into the sky, and I saw this in- this white dove
And I thought, you know- I have, like- I have incredible- I used to have terrible problem with, um
Everything wasn't simple to me, I have obsessive-compulsive disorder and it was way in full swing then
So like- everything that I saw meant, you know, life or death
So I look up into the sky, and I'm sulking and I see this white dove
And I thought, "Oh I, okay, everything's okay"
I mean, I swung way up to this high
And I was like, "Oh that's great, everything's all over white dove"
And it really start falling, and it was- it was just a plastic bag. It was a plastic bag
And it so creepy, and I was just dropped again. But then it was stuck in the head, and then, later on
You know, that was, kind of like- "Oh, there it is, the rule of my life", you know
That it- it always looks like it's gonna be something great, but then it just a damn plastic bag
But you know, and I made paper bag- because paper bag sounds better, um
And I didn't- and I just thought of that, and that image always stayed in my head
And it didn't make any sense in my life, until, years later
And then, you know, I grabbed it from the back of my head and made a song out of it
But lots of time that kind of stuffs happen weren't right, you know
I'll notice something, and then I'll ignore it, and then
It'll come back at some point

J'étais dans la voiture de mon père, on allait à l'épicerie
Et, c'est une idée - genre, combien de temps il me faut pour même- traiter l'écriture d'une chanson
C'est un- c'était pendant l'enregistrement du premier album
Et j'étais misérable, haha
Et c'était comme un samedi, et mon père et moi, on allait à l'épicerie
Et je me suis juste calmée, assise, à me morfondre dans
Et j'ai levé les yeux vers le ciel, et j'ai vu ce- cette colombe blanche
Et j'ai pensé, tu sais- j'ai, genre- j'ai incroyablement- j'avais l'habitude d'avoir un terrible problème avec, euh
Tout n'était pas simple pour moi, j'ai un trouble obsessionnel-compulsif et il était en plein essor à l'époque
Donc, comme- tout ce que je voyais signifiait, tu sais, la vie ou la mort
Alors je lève les yeux vers le ciel, et je me morfonds et je vois cette colombe blanche
Et j'ai pensé, "Oh, je, d'accord, tout va bien"
Je veux dire, j'ai oscillé jusqu'à ce niveau élevé
Et j'étais comme, "Oh, c'est génial, tout est fini, colombe blanche"
Et ça a vraiment commencé à tomber, et c'était- c'était juste un sac en plastique. C'était un sac en plastique
Et c'était tellement effrayant, et je suis retombée. Mais ensuite, c'est resté coincé dans ma tête, et ensuite, plus tard
Tu sais, c'était, un peu comme- "Oh, voilà, la règle de ma vie", tu sais
Que ça- ça a toujours l'air d'être quelque chose de grand, mais ensuite, ce n'est qu'un putain de sac en plastique
Mais tu sais, et j'ai fait un sac en papier- parce que sac en papier sonne mieux, euh
Et je n'ai pas- et j'ai juste pensé à ça, et cette image est toujours restée dans ma tête
Et ça n'avait aucun sens dans ma vie, jusqu'à, des années plus tard
Et puis, tu sais, je l'ai attrapé à l'arrière de ma tête et j'en ai fait une chanson
Mais souvent ce genre de trucs qui arrivent n'était pas juste, tu sais
Je remarque quelque chose, puis je l'ignore, et ensuite
Ça revient à un moment donné
