At the top of the stairs he finds a chamber. It is almost a hemisphere with a great many doors all the way round its circumference. There is a large crowd, huddled in various groups. There is a momentary silence and then Rael finds himself the focus as they direct their advice and commands to their new found recruit. D'après leurs cris, Rael apprend qu'il y a 32 portes, mais une seule qui mène dehors. Leurs voix deviennent de plus en plus fortes jusqu'à ce que Rael crie "Taisez-vous !" Un silence momentané s'ensuit, puis Rael se retrouve au centre de l'attention, tandis qu'ils dirigent leurs conseils et leurs ordres vers leur nouvelle recrue.
