When I was a kid I was pretty wise
I could whip any feller two times my size

Mit zwölf ging ich mal auf einen Ball,
traf ein Mädchen, war wie im Rausch so schnell.
Ich glaub, es war Liebe auf den ersten Blick,

Ich sagte: "Mädchen, ich hab ein Geheimnis."
Sie flüsterte: "Sag's mir, George."

Ich küsste sie fest, es fühlte sich gut an,

Die Jahre vergingen, ich wurde älter,
mit dem Alter auch mutiger, frecher.
Mit meiner Freundin im Park zu zweit,
der Mond so schön, die Nacht bereit.

Sie jubelte: "Jippie!"

Wir saßen da und vergaßen die Zeit,
jetzt trägt sie meinen Namen weit und breit.
Sechzehn Kinder halten uns in Schwung,
