Se despertó bailando al fuego nuevo
Resonando con puros tambores
Y mientras desayuna
Le arroja basura el televisor.
Y luego corre,
Disimulando que el camino le duele.

¿Y qué más?
Otro día tan común,
Otro pasajero puesto a aprender
Que lo que engaña siempre causa dolor;
Otro buen sujeto en fuga,
Es otro tipo más que duda
Cansado de vivir
Cada promesa sin cumplir.

Pero hoy vio alegre
Que derrotó a la tristeza
Cuando la naturaleza
Abrió los ojos a su corazón.

Qué bello destello
Es el consuelo que le da sentido al futuro
Si junta el paso fúnebre de sus iguales,
Si apunta bien la brújula del corazón.

Serán dichosos los que trabajen por la paz
En vez de aparentarla como esos tontos.
La gloria es para los perseguidos por causa del bien,
Cuando el bien es de todos.

Por ir cantando,
El viento le sabe un poco a vida eterna.
Por entonar la conciencia y razón,
La vida sabe a dignidad.

Pobres de los equivocados
Que practican tanto la esclavitud.
Qué tristes mueren los esclavos del dinero,
Rasguñando al sol de anhelos para aparentar fortuna.

Que Dios nos guarde una canción alada,
Un punto de encuentro que ilumine a aquel
Que junta el paso fúnebre de sus iguales,
Que apunta bien la brújula del corazón.

Awakened dancing to the new fire
Resonating with pure drums
And while having breakfast
