De l'huile de ricin et du sucre de bonbons, j'ai frotté de l'huile pure sur son visage
Et j'ai dit qu'elle serait une dandy quand nous arriverions à Harbour Grace !

Les cris qui sortaient de sa gueule étaient audibles à Carbonear
J'ai essayé tous les endroits de Harbour Grace,
J'ai essayé tous les magasins et les boutiques,
Pour lui trouver un remède ou l'emmener au bal

Elle est morte en bas des brandies alors que nous revenions
Nous l'avons enterrée dans l'océan, enveloppée d'un Union Jack
Alors maintenant je suis un homme célibataire, à la recherche d'un joli visage
Et la femme qui dira qu'elle me prendra, je pars pour Harbour Grace !
