War in Lace

If we had to wage war in lace,
And surround an army of damsels,
In the springtime,
If we had to march, march relentlessly,

The soldiers
Would seek hand-to-hand combat,

The flags would be of light silk,
The cradles would have the War Cross,
Not the wooden cross.
