يا خفيف الروح

يا صغر الفرح في قلبي .
ويا كبر الألم والآه!! تغرّب في زمنها الناس .
وزوّد ظلمها ببلواه . لآنه مختلف عنهم
تبرى من طبايعهم . تغرّب في زمن هواه .
وفا وباعوه أحبابه . وزوّد غدرهم . همه
وشرّع للهوى بابه . وأَنحر لأجلهم دمه
ولكن للأسف هانت . سنين العشره وشانت
دروبٍ بالجفى إبدت . صبر والصبر ما فاده .
تحمّل لوعة الحرمان . بدى يرتاح وبعاده .
عذاب وغربته . إنسان
يا دنيا مالها صاحب
غريبه . صدقها كاذب تجازي من وفا

Oh, you who have a light heart

How small the joy in my heart is.
And how big the pain and the sighs are!! People have become strangers in their time.
