Intro

Yo, it's J-R3MI
I wanna start this album off
With a bit of an introduction on how this project was made
It started back in my sophomore year of college
When I was having some doubts about being in college
And with my planned major in art
That didn't end up working out
And I ended up switching my major to creative writing
Partly to do what I'm doing right now
Anyway, uh, one day, my buddy Chris
Who went to high school with me and at this time was producing
Sent me a beat called "Better Than Ever," and the rest is history
Now, here we are together
With him executive producing the entire project

It's been a long road, and a lot's changed
Some people who were with us when we started
This journey aren't here anymore
And we've made some new friends along the way

Near the end of my class' college journey
COVID came and ruined some of our plans including graduation
But we still did the thing
Some of us walked across stage that following year; some of us didn't
But we got through it, and now we're all doing great big things
Well maybe not big things, and maybe not all of us
But that's okay too
All in due time

Either way, we're living life
And like my journey making this album and throughout college
It has its ups and downs
We just gotta get through those slumps, so we can enjoy those highs
I hope you all are doing well and living
In one of those bright parts of your life right now
If not, I hope this can help in some small way

Mit einer kleinen Einführung, wie dieses Projekt entstanden ist
Es begann in meinem zweiten Jahr am College
Als ich Zweifel hatte, ob ich überhaupt am College sein sollte
Und mit meinem geplanten Hauptfach Kunst
Das hat am Ende nicht geklappt
Und ich habe mein Hauptfach zu kreativem Schreiben gewechselt
Teilweise, um das zu tun, was ich gerade mache
Wie auch immer, äh, eines Tages, mein Kumpel Chris
Der mit mir zur High School ging und zu dieser Zeit produzierte
Schickte mir einen Beat namens "Better Than Ever", und der Rest ist Geschichte
Jetzt sind wir hier zusammen
Mit ihm als ausführendem Produzenten des gesamten Projekts

Es war ein langer Weg, und vieles hat sich verändert
Einige Leute, die bei uns waren, als wir anfingen
