The Red Hatband and the Red Beret

In a land and a time not forgotten,
came a war against oppressive ideals.
And the enemy plagued their very own people,
that toiled and worked in the fields.
In their droves they came to rape and to maim,
and to hide from the soldiers of the state.
So there had to be a certain strategy
to keep the poor people safe.
Outnumbered who would go face a ruthless foe,
to protect unarmed folk, to keep them free.
Like when the Lord asked Isaiah for a messenger
A voice then said:" I will go, send me."

No matter the color, creed or gender.

Le Bandeau Rouge et le Béret Rouge

Dans un pays et une époque non oubliés,
une guerre éclata contre des idéaux oppressifs.
Et l'ennemi affligeait son propre peuple,
qui travaillait et peinait dans les champs.
En masse, ils venaient pour violer et mutiler,
et se cacher des soldats de l'État.
Il fallait donc une certaine stratégie
pour protéger les pauvres gens.
En infériorité numérique, qui oserait affronter un ennemi impitoyable,
pour protéger les personnes non armées, pour les garder libres ?

Quand je parcours le long rouleau d'honneur
