Then instantly the doctor gives her paper, with twenty words on a list to me
For hours, he tried to empower me
And out of the twenty nineteen I couldn't place, but one was jumping out at me
I don't feel crazy, I'm very sane
I'm trying to gain recollection, the doctor matches pictures up to every name
I try to concentrate to remember, but nothing comes
I overheard the doctor, tell the same lady I'm suffering from amnesia

They strapped me down, like a wild man
The lady walked back in the room, with another female who held the child's hand
When I felt that presence, it calmed me
But as they swarmed me, the calm became a storm cause what they sung alarmed me
I heard the hate they spoke, with optics blurred
Telling me the reason I forgot them, and myself as I forgot the word
Right then I felt it, like a gust of wind
A voice said wake up, I heard clapping and I was on a stage with two other men

The other hypnotized man was the doctor, and in my hand the list was folded up
I opened it, wondering what can it be
It was the nineteen words from the fantasy, the list consists of friends and family
Yeah my mother wife and son, is who those people was
And the one word from the list, that seemed to stand out was the word love
Yeah, suppressed in my sub-conscience mind
Amnesia in this case is when love is in you, but you forget to show it all the time

Elle m'embrasse, comme si elle s'était ennuyée de moi
Puis, instantanément, le médecin lui tend un papier, avec une liste de vingt mots à me lire
Pendant des heures, il a essayé de me donner du pouvoir
Et sur les vingt, dix-neuf que je ne pouvais pas placer, mais un seul me sautait aux yeux
Je ne me sens pas fou, je suis tout à fait sain d'esprit
J'essaie de me souvenir, le médecin fait correspondre des photos à chaque nom
J'essaie de me concentrer pour me souvenir, mais rien ne vient
J'ai entendu le médecin dire à la même dame que je souffrais d'amnésie

Mes réactions étaient variées
Les mots qu'ils prononçaient suscitaient des émotions, certains me faisaient rire et d'autres me faisaient pleurer
L'aiguille a bondi à un rythme effréné
Et quand il a prononcé le mot de la liste qu'il m'avait donnée, j'ai vu le visage de la dame
Ils ont fait entrer un jeune enfant
Qui s'est mis à pleurer, jusqu'à ce qu'il me regarde dans les yeux et se mette à sourire
Comme s'il était heureux de m'avoir trouvé
Il y avait quelque chose de familier dans ce sentiment, quand il m'a serré dans ses bras
Écoute, quelque chose me revient, je me remémore
Un lointain souvenir de moi et de cet enfant, mais il manquait quelqu'un
Où était cette autre personne ?
Une partie de ce puzzle pourrait être déchiffrée, ou quelque chose pourrait faire revenir cette personne
Il n'y a pas de miroirs, dans cette pièce où je suis
Pour me le prouver, ils m'ont tendu une photo de moi et m'ont demandé qui c'était
Je commence à dérailler, comme si je devenais fou
Quelque chose me faisait haïr cette photo, même si j'étais amnésique

J'ai déchiré la photo et j'ai crié
La frustration de ne rien savoir, pour personne, était tout simplement trop forte
J'espère que ma mémoire pourra être restaurée

Et le seul mot de la liste qui semblait se démarquer était le mot amour

L'amnésie dans ce cas, c'est quand l'amour est en toi, mais que tu oublies de le montrer tout le temps
Maintenant de retour à la normale, il me reconvertit
Il a dit que je ne me souviendrais de rien, je suis retourné m'asseoir
