Night fell on me writing this and I ran out of paper
So I crossed the name out at the top of the page.
Not sure why I'm even writing this. But I guess it feels right.
It sort of feels like I have to-like an exorcism.
I guess that makes me sound crazy but that's alright.
Lately I feel like I might be,
Not that I've heard any voices or anything.
Just like that everyday kind, where you forget things you shouldn't
And you think too much about death.
Maybe you know what I'm talking about.
Or maybe you would have known? Or had known?
Is it once knew? I don't know what tense to use.
I know I never used to feel like this.
I used to never think of death or hear voices.
I used to feel Like everything was perfectly in order, a normal life,
But I guess then came a departure.
That I know you understand (or would've understood?).
I guess things changed after that, and I'm mostly scared now.
But it's there in the stories, or whatever they are.
You can see it. Anybody could if they could Look.
I wrote some notes in the margins explaining it.
The rest is in between lines or in the fine Print.
First, the feeling of abandonment, then trying to cope.
Then death and hope and the thing Itself, waiting for me.
It's all there in the pages ahead of here. It's there waiting for you.

La nuit est tombée sur moi alors que j'écrivais ça et j'ai manqué de papier
Alors j'ai barré le nom en haut de la page.
Je ne sais pas pourquoi j'écris tout ça. Mais j'imagine que ça me fait du bien.
J'ai l'impression d'être obligé de le faire, comme un exorcisme.
Je suppose que ça me fait passer pour un fou, mais bon.
Dernièrement, j'ai l'impression d'être peut-être,
Pas que j'aie entendu des voix ou quoi que ce soit.
C'est juste ce genre de folie quotidienne où tu oublies des choses que tu ne devrais pas oublier
Et tu penses trop à la mort.
Peut-être que tu sais de quoi je parle.
Ou peut-être que tu aurais su ? Ou que tu avais su ?
Est-ce que c'est "savoir" au passé ? Je ne sais pas quel temps utiliser.
Je sais que je ne me suis jamais senti comme ça auparavant.
Avant, je ne pensais jamais à la mort et j'entendais pas de voix.
Avant, j'avais l'impression que tout était parfaitement en ordre, une vie normale,
Mais j'imagine qu'il y a eu un départ.
Je sais que tu comprends (ou que tu aurais compris ?).
Je suppose que les choses ont changé après ça, et j'ai surtout peur maintenant.
Mais c'est là, dans les histoires, ou quoi que ce soit.
Tu peux le voir. N'importe qui pourrait le voir s'il pouvait regarder.
J'ai écrit quelques notes dans les marges pour l'expliquer.
Le reste est entre les lignes ou dans les petits caractères.
D'abord, le sentiment d'abandon, puis la tentative de s'en remettre.
Puis la mort, l'espoir et la chose elle-même, qui m'attend.
