Too stressed out for everything
Night fell on me writing this and I ran out of paper
So I crossed the name out at the top of the page
Not sure why I'm even writing this but I guess it feels right
It sort of feels like I have to-like an exorcism
I guess that makes me sound crazy but that's alright
Lately I feel like I might be, not that I've heard any voices or anything
Just like that everyday kind, where you forget things you shouldn't
And you think too much about death
Maybe you know what I'm talking about
Or maybe you would have known? Or had known?
Is it once knew?
I don't know what tense to use
I know I never used to feel like this
I used to never think of death or hear voices
I used to feel like everything was perfectly in order, a normal life
But I guess then came a departure
That I know you understand or would've understood?
I guess things changed after that, and I'm mostly scared now
But it's there in the stories, or whatever they are
You can see it, anybody could if they could look
I wrote some notes in the margins explaining it
The rest is in between lines or in the fine Print
First, the feeling of abandonment, then trying to cope
Then death and hope and the thing itself, waiting for me
It's all there in the pages ahead of here

Un départ

Trop stressé pour tout
La nuit est tombée sur moi en écrivant ça et j'ai manqué de papier
Alors j'ai barré le nom en haut de la page
Je ne sais pas pourquoi j'écris ça, mais j'imagine que ça me semble juste
J'ai l'impression que je dois le faire, comme un exorcisme
Je suppose que ça me fait paraître fou, mais ça va
Dernièrement, j'ai l'impression que je pourrais l'être, pas que j'ai entendu des voix ou quoi que ce soit
Juste ce genre de folie quotidienne, où tu oublies des choses que tu ne devrais pas oublier
Et tu penses trop à la mort
Peut-être que tu sais de quoi je parle
Ou peut-être que tu aurais su ? Ou que tu avais su ?
Est-ce qu'on dit "savait" ?
Je ne sais pas quel temps utiliser
Je sais que je ne me suis jamais senti comme ça auparavant
Je ne pensais jamais à la mort ni n'entendais de voix
J'avais l'impression que tout était parfaitement en ordre, une vie normale
Mais j'imagine que c'est arrivé, un départ
Que tu comprends ou que tu aurais compris ?
Je suppose que les choses ont changé après ça, et j'ai surtout peur maintenant
Mais c'est là, dans les histoires, ou quoi que ce soit
Tu peux le voir, n'importe qui pourrait le voir s'il pouvait regarder
J'ai écrit des notes dans les marges pour l'expliquer
Le reste est entre les lignes ou dans les petits caractères
D'abord, le sentiment d'abandon, puis la tentative de faire face
Puis la mort, l'espoir et la chose elle-même, qui m'attend
