Why was music invented?

They had the magic mushrooms,
They sat around the fire
And a guy started off like "ooo-a ooo-a"
And than the music was born
And then after that the only thing we really had was flute and (sex?)
And apart from that
The music was the main event
That's what they did every night
For about 10 million years
