Since it hasn't been resolved at all, the end must still be a ways away.

I flubbed up an important line, and wound up hurting someone again.
I tried to imitate someone's acting, which made me understand myself even more.

In a sudden burst of improvisation, I started laughing, and then that great actor passed away.
Every second, every single scene has already happened, and can't be redone.

Happiness grows old as memories.
The scripts you've finished reading, and the costumes you've outgrown, they've all piled up.
Just like that, your turn will come again.
Be proud of the scars that remain, as well as the dirt. There is no shame in it.
Because without the sad parts, you could never truly love film.

The number of sad lines has grown, but that must just be setting the stage for some happy scenes to come.
Those harsh words sting, but that's proof that you were really giving it your all.

I couldn't find your name anywhere in the script.
It's not written there anymore.
No matter how much you refuse, and how much you fight it,
you still have to turn to the next page.
The picture I keep going back to, the one of you,
it keeps getting prettier every time I look at it.

From time to time, I'll replay the past.
Sometimes it's all static, sometimes it's hard to make out.
But that's part of it.

I'll grow old being just who I am.
I'll trace the lines I spoke when I was young with my finger,
and I'll get so embarrassed,

that the work I've piled up will all come tumbling down.
Apparently that's what people call their life flashing before their eyes,
and the bit that I have now will be the trailer.
