but they kept telling me fairy tales
I grew up and faced the world
but I found every road closed
and everyone told me that life was ahead of me
but they wouldn't let me spread my wings
I realized at twenty before I reached it
to win myself before I lost myself
and so before I became a pawn on the chessboard
I became free like the air
Others promised me many things and gave me others
but they made me strong and they hurt me
everything I loved very much they took away from me
but they didn't take my soul, they didn't defeat me
I was born without being asked
they wanted to lock me up in their prison
they wanted me to become their lost idol
a little better than themselves
The years passed but I didn't live
I tried to find myself
and so before I reached thirty and jumped
I said to life to take my hands
