Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even Meowth.

Brock: Eggnog's ready!
Ash: Eggnog!?
Misty: Yeah... Brock made eggnog and Christmas cookies.

Brock: Oh, you guys are reading "The Night Before Christmas". Twas the night before Christmas and...

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled, all snug in their beds
While visions of Vileplumes danced in their heads.

And my mom in her kerchief and Mr. Mime in my cap
(And I think Professor Oak was there too)
Had just settled their brains for a longer Winter′s nap

When out on the roof, there arose such a clatter

Ash: Hey... what was that? Did anybody else hear that?

I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter

Away to the window I flew like a flash
Tore open the shutter and saw Rapidash

The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow
Gave the luster of midday to Jynx′s below

When what to my half-open eyes should appear
But a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer

With the little old driver so lively and quick
I knew in a moment, it must be St. Nick!

More rapid than Moltres his course as they came
He whistled and shouted and called them by name

Ash: Wah!
Jessie: To protect the world from devastation!
Ash: Team Rocket! I knew I heard something! What are you doing here?
Meowth: We came to capture some rare Pokémon, so the Boss will give us our Christmas bonuses this year.
Jessie: Oh, isn't that quaint? They′re reading a Christmas poem.

Now Dasher, now Dancer, now Prancer and Vixen
On Comet, on Cupid, on Donner and Blitzen

To the top of the porch, to the top of the wall
Now dash away, dash away, dash away all

Ash: Anyway... As I was saying...
Jessie: Move over twerp, I'm reading this part.

As dry leaves, that before the wild hurricane fly
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky
So up to the housetop, the courses they flew
With a sleigh full of toys

And some Pokémon too.

And then in a twinkling, I heard on the rooftop
The prancing and pawing of each little Machop
As I drew in my head and was turning around
Down the chimney, St. Nicholas came with a pound

He was dressed all in fur from his head to his foot...
(A lot like me, actually...)
And his clothes were all tarnished, like Ash′s, with soot

Ash: Huh?

A bundle of toys he had flung on his back
And he looked like a trainer just opening his pack

His eyes, how they twinkled, his dimples, how merry
Oooo! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry
His drone little mouth was drawn up like a bow
And the beard on his chin was as white as the snow

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his cheek
And he smoked it and circled his head like a reef

He had a broad face and a little round belly
That swhen he laughed like a bowlful of jelly

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of my self
A wink of his eye and twist of his head
Soon gave me the note, I had nothing to dread

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work
And filled all the stockings then turned with a jerk

And laying his finger, aside of his nose
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle
And away they all flew, like, uh, the down of a thistle

But I heard him exclaim, as he drove off to the mall:

Le réveillon de Noël

Sacha : Brrr ! Il gèle dehors.
Ondine : Ferme la porte ! Tu as pris du bois ?
Sacha : Oh oui ! Hé, c'est quoi ça ?
Ondine : C'est un poème de Noël. "C'était la veille de Noël". Je l'ai téléchargé sur Internet.
Sacha : Oh... Je connais celui-là !

C'était la veille de Noël, et dans toute la maison
Pas une créature ne bougeait, pas même Miaouss.

Sacha : Ah-ah !
Pierre : Le lait de poule est prêt !
Sacha : Du lait de poule !?
Ondine : Ouais... Pierre a fait du lait de poule et des biscuits de Noël.
Sacha : Génial !
Pierre : Oh, vous lisez "La nuit avant Noël". C'était la nuit avant Noël et...

Les chaussettes étaient accrochées à la cheminée avec soin
Dans l'espoir que le Père Noël serait bientôt là.

Venaient d'installer leurs cerveaux pour une plus longue sieste d'hiver

Quand sur le toit, il y eut un tel vacarme

Sacha : Hé... qu'est-ce que c'était ? Est-ce que quelqu'un d'autre a entendu ça ?

J'ai bondi de mon lit pour voir ce qui se passait

Je me suis envolé vers la fenêtre comme un éclair
J'ai ouvert les volets et j'ai vu Galopa

La lune sur la poitrine de la neige fraîchement tombée
Donnait l'éclat du midi à Lippoutou en dessous

Quand à mes yeux mi-clos apparut
Un traîneau miniature et huit petits rennes

Avec le petit vieux conducteur si vif et rapide
J'ai su en un instant que c'était le Père Noël !

Plus rapide que Sulfura, leur course était rapide
Il sifflait et criait et les appelait par leur nom

Sacha : Wah !
Jessie : Pour protéger le monde de la dévastation !
Sacha : La Team Rocket ! Je savais que j'avais entendu quelque chose ! Qu'est-ce que vous faites ici ?
Miaouss : On est venus capturer des Pokémon rares, pour que le Boss nous donne nos primes de Noël cette année.
Jessie : Oh, c'est pas mignon ? Ils lisent un poème de Noël.
James : Oooo ! Jessie, c'est ma partie préférée !

En haut du porche, en haut du mur

Sacha : Bref... Comme je le disais...

Comme des feuilles sèches, qui devant l'ouragan s'envolent
Lorsqu'elles rencontrent un obstacle, montent vers le ciel
Ainsi jusqu'au faîte de la maison, ils se sont envolés
Avec un traîneau rempli de jouets

Et quelques Pokémon aussi.

Et puis en un éclair, j'ai entendu sur le toit
Le trépignement et les pattes de chaque petit Machoc
Alors que je rentrais la tête et me retournais
Par la cheminée, le Père Noël est descendu en un éclair

Il était vêtu de fourrure de la tête aux pieds...
(Un peu comme moi, en fait...)
Et ses vêtements étaient tout tachés, comme ceux de Sacha, de suie

Sacha : Hein ?

Il avait un paquet de jouets sur le dos
Et il ressemblait à un dresseur qui ouvrait son sac

Ses yeux, comme ils brillaient, ses fossettes, comme il était joyeux
Oooo ! Ses joues étaient comme des roses, son nez comme une cerise
Sa petite bouche de drone était arquée comme un arc
Et la barbe sur son menton était aussi blanche que la neige

Il tenait fermement le tuyau d'une pipe dans sa joue
Et il la fumait et la faisait tourner autour de sa tête comme une couronne

Il avait un visage large et un petit ventre rond
Qui tremblait quand il riait comme un bol de gelée

Il était potelé et dodu, un vrai joyeux lutin
Et j'ai ri en le voyant, malgré moi
Un clin d'œil et un hochement de tête
M'ont vite rassuré, je n'avais rien à craindre

Il ne dit pas un mot, mais se mit directement au travail
Et remplit toutes les chaussettes puis se retourna d'un coup sec

Et posant son doigt, sur le côté de son nez
Et faisant un signe de tête, il remonta la cheminée

Il sauta dans son traîneau, siffla son attelage
Et ils s'envolèrent tous, comme, euh, le duvet d'un chardon

Mais je l'ai entendu s'exclamer, alors qu'il partait au centre commercial :
