De nada le sirve al Ser huir del mal
Él es el mal
Y arrastra el mal consigo

Pero ya no tengo sed de tu carne:
Conforme mi interior se llenaba de luz iba palideciendo tu imagen
Las flores dejaron de exhalar tu aroma

El intelecto es un instrumento demasiado complejo

La mente es un pez sediento que busca fuera lo que está dentro
La conciencia es el combate de los opuestos
Quisiera traducir lo que siento
Pero las palabras forman un río de ruido cuando lo intento
Pero aquello que uno sabe sin saber, lo que no puede explicar
Puede ser su mayor descubrimiento
Y hoy comprendo para qué sirve el vacío interior:
Para hacerle espacio a la Verdad en su alumbramiento

Llevaba mucho en recogimiento
Larguísima soledad, sin apenas diálogo ni pensamiento
Una vida reducida a despertar para cerrar los ojos de nuevo
Hincar el cuerpo en la tierra y respirar silencio
Comer escaso, despacio, pasear hasta el cansancio
Impasible a la ansiedad del tiempo
Descender al pueblo a por alimentos
Sorber el sol del camino, volver por la senda del agradecimiento
Y de regreso espiar a través de las celosías
Con triste alegría, la fiesta en los jardines de las familias:
Triste por mi soledad, y feliz
Porque el universo es mi jardín y esas familias son también las mías
Pero un día desperté sordo a lo externo
Mis ojos sólo podían mirar hacia adentro
Y busqué dentro ¡Más adentro! Y hallé el centro:
El originario hilo que une al Ser con el universo
Entonces sentí un temblor
Como si cediesen los pretiles y pude asomarme más a mi interior
Dentro todo era abismo, voluta de oscuridad y precipicio
Y en la profundidad se oían gritos:
Chillidos de una lucha encarnizada en lo más hondo
Eran mis múltiples yoes devorándose unos a otros
Egos royendo a otros egos desfallecidos sobre el yermo
Los oía desgarrar y mascar deprisa hambrientos
Despedazando con avidez ojos, víscera y huesos
Mientras otros buscaban en los escombros posibles restos
Desierto de carroña y piel de avatares muertos
Entraña y costra, polvo y máscara de mis ancestros
Todo lo que fui y en verdad no era, palacio en el aire, ceguera
La mentira de mis opuestos
Y quedó un último Yo, arraigado y gigantesco;
Arrasado el pasto, comenzó a engullir sus propios miembros
Y no, no era un sueño
Pues abría fuerte los ojos y mareado veía borroso el paisaje externo
La casa, el árbol, el pozo, el huerto
Y dentro, pensamientos chocando contra pensamientos
De pronto, un cegador estruendo
Insoportable presión en mi mente,
Como si me arrancaran de mi propio cuerpo y,
Se hizo el silencio finalmente
Mi conciencia un templo en ruinas, entonces debí de caer inconsciente
Al recobrar el sentido
Mi ser liviano quería abrazarlo todo
Con la inocencia del recién nacido
No sé explicar este sentimiento
Sólo sé que un ruiseñor que comenzó a cantar fuera
Cantó también dentro

Act III: The Diary (Scene Two)

Quarciso thought he would chase away
The hate and noise that was within himself
Traveling the paths of the abyss
As roads toward harmony

But upon penetrating the distance
Everything appeared as a mirage
The greater the solitude and silence
Inside, the louder the scream still

To travel the world like a beggar
Or flee from man like an animal
Was not a redemption but a punishment
Without a spiritual rebirth
It is useless for the Being to flee from evil
He is the evil
And he drags evil with him

I persisted in forgetting you
But as I moved away from you on the road
I became smaller and you grew bigger and bigger
But I no longer thirst for your flesh:
As my interior was filled with light, your image faded
The flowers stopped exhaling your scent
The pain itself has dragged the memory away
And the silence has stopped speaking to me
I no longer thirst for your flesh
And it is not for that reason that I love you less, now I love you even more, if that is possible
Just as I love him, for I love the world as a single life
The universe as a huge beating heart

Then I felt a tremor

Inside everything was abyss, volute of darkness and precipice
And in the depth screams could be heard:
Shrieks of a fierce struggle in the depths
It was my multiple selves devouring each other
Egos gnawing at other egos that had fainted on the wasteland
I could hear them tear and chew quickly hungry
Tearing with avidity eyes, viscera and bones
While others searched the debris for possible remains
Desert of carrion and skin of dead avatars
Entrails and crust, dust and mask of my ancestors
All that I was and was not really, palace in the air, blindness
The lie of my opposites
And one last I remained, rooted and gigantic;
The grass razed, it began to devour its own limbs
And no, it was not a dream
For I opened my eyes wide and, dizzy, I saw the external landscape blurred
The house, the tree, the well, the orchard
And inside, thoughts colliding with thoughts
Suddenly, a blinding roar
Unbearable pressure in my mind,
As if I were being torn from my own body and,
Silence fell at last
My consciousness a temple in ruins, then I must have fallen unconscious
When I regained consciousness
My light being wanted to embrace everything
With the innocence of a newborn
I can't explain this feeling
All I know is that a nightingale that began to sing outside
Sang also inside
