I tried for years to keep my hope alive

But I was blinded by the light that beckoned through my bars

To open my eyes and get me to finally see

Ich habe jahrelang versucht, meine Hoffnung am Leben zu erhalten
Ich schwor, allen Widrigkeiten zum Trotz, dass ich überleben würde
Das Gute in mir blutete aus, bis nichts mehr davon übrig blieb
Und Wut war das Einzige, was mir blieb

Ich spürte die Schnitte und sah mein Inneres brennen
