I been far from home, just reflecting on how much I've grown
From these good times in every single place we've flown
Past year and a half been the greatest times ever
Now I'm addicted to this life, I'll never let it go
Damn, but I been running from some things
Thought if I run away, I'll probably come back to some change
It's hard to elaborate on all the things that's in my brain
And I swear to god this pain'll make a nigga go insane
But this here is therapeutic
Taking all of these emotions, put it all into the music
That's the blueprint laid by the realest ones that do this
'Cause they choose to be vulnerable, and then we use it
So here I am, carrying the torch of that legacy
Wonder if my biggest dreams are even what's best for me
I give it all I got 'til it ain't nothing left in me
Questioning if the music's even my destiny
Especially I'm living the life that I want, no regrets for me
Without the fame putting my privacy in jeopardy
That's the recipe to go insane and lose integrity
So can I manage? I gotta choose carefully
And lately I feel like my time is running out
LIke I'm just one of several thousands of accounts
Of the guy that had it all, but he never made it
With all the potential to someday be the greatest
And usually I'm stressing, but you know what's crazy?
The fact that the shit doesn't bother lately

While some other new nigga getting decorated
I'll admit I lost some interest, too invested in this living
Constant trips to different cities, great nights with the finest women
Caught up in the fact that around the world
People naturally fucking with me
With no fame or no clout, 'cause lord knows I hate them leeches
But being gone gave a whole new perspective
And hella inspiration, fueled the progression
A whole lot of blessings and valuable lessons
But also the fear that my loved ones neglected
26 years, just missed my first birthday
Then a second passed, missing time at a worse rate
Then Christmas came, this was all the same year
And most would assume that this ain't a big deal
But it is for us, 'cause I came from a place of love
Despite not having much, just each other was enough
But now I understand that everybody ain't the same
'Cause mostly all my friends can't relate to this support
And it caught me by surprise 'cause I didn't realize
A lot of parents treated raising their kids like a job
And after 18 years they just wouldn't go beyond
So when that time is up, you on your own to survive
And their only job description was to provide
Ain't tryna go the extra mile with quality time
The cause of internal issues later in life
Thankful that was never the case when it came to mine
But I got brothers, I'm the one who they look up to
I wanna see you be the very best at what you want to
I wanna see you get involved with all the things you love to
And when I'm not around, never question that I love you
What has this come to, that I even gotta say that?
Shed tears cause it's my fault, and I really hate that
My mother called, I'm on the road, still on the go
She said they said that they feel like they don't know you no more

I find it funny how I met you on my birthday
And your presence been a gift to me since the first day
Honestly don't know what I did to deserve you
Or how you're always there for me on my worst days

Living single, do what I want, no one to answer to

The way I move, although I told you all the facts
I never lied, but never wanted you to catch me in the act

I can count on one hand how many times I seen you cry
And for those few, an extreme reason why
But this was traumatizing, something different 'bout this time
The shit was chilling, tried to erase it from my mind
We in the midst of a normal conversation
You know music, sports, who I been dating
Then your tears start flowing and a little bit of shaking
I'm caught off guard, like, "what the fuck am I facing?"
You brush it off and try to tell me that it's all good
And I pretend to believe it, don't really know if I should
You prolly needed an ear, but all of my fears
Prevailed of me learning something I ain't trying to hear
So I let you brush it off and get away with it
Hoping that it's only one time, but it ain't, is it?
'Cause now the shit just comes more frequent
And more intense, I feel defeated
Can't imagine how it feels for you
I'm scared to know the reason
Now it's hella tabs open on my phone
What could be the cause for these symptoms that you've shown?
I type in Parkinson's, shit got me losing hope

This uneasy feeling all up in my bones
I stay out late on purpose, I ain't tryna go back home
I find it kind of hard to make you feel you ain't alone

And you often thank me for my contribution
But deep down I know it's way more that I could be doing
I feel I've done the minimum, is this just an illusion?

It just hurts so bad and I can't really help it
I can't face it straight up, man I really feel helpless

I thought I got better, working on myself all by my lonely
These past few years I just been running from the old me
Hate seeing old pictures, now a nigga so different
Back then I was so timid, just constantly searching
For a source of confidence other than accomplishments
And to know that I'm that nigga regardless of how they feel
So in a way, you can say that I got what I wanted
But if I can't face this, then that shit don't mean nothing
I really thought self-improvement would erase all my fears
With everything that I built upon over the years
More money, more women, more bookings for trips
But nothing in this fucking world could prepare me for this
So although I'm having the greatest times of my life
Subconsciously I'm also running from my problems
But I am glad to say that you been doing much better
Was terrified that my life would be changing forever

Ich bin fern von zuhause, denke darüber nach, wie sehr ich gewachsen bin
Durch diese guten Zeiten an jedem einzelnen Ort, den wir angeflogen haben
Das letzte anderthalb Jahr war die großartigste Zeit überhaupt
Jetzt bin ich süchtig nach diesem Leben, ich werde es nie loslassen
Verdammt, aber ich bin vor einigen Dingen weggelaufen
Dachte, wenn ich weglaufe, komme ich wahrscheinlich zu einigen Veränderungen zurück
Es ist schwer, all die Dinge in meinem Gehirn zu erläutern
Und ich schwöre bei Gott, dieser Schmerz macht einen Kerl verrückt
Aber das hier ist therapeutisch
Ich nehme all diese Emotionen und packe sie in die Musik
Das ist der Bauplan, der von den Echtesten gelegt wurde, die das tun
Weil sie sich dafür entscheiden, verletzlich zu sein, und dann nutzen wir es
Also hier bin ich, trage die Fackel dieses Erbes
Frage mich, ob meine größten Träume überhaupt das Beste für mich sind
Ich gebe alles, was ich habe, bis nichts mehr in mir übrig ist
Frage mich, ob die Musik überhaupt meine Bestimmung ist
Besonders, da ich das Leben lebe, das ich will, ohne Reue
Ohne den Ruhm, der meine Privatsphäre gefährdet
Das ist das Rezept, um verrückt zu werden und die Integrität zu verlieren
Also, kann ich damit umgehen? Ich muss sorgfältig wählen
Und in letzter Zeit fühle ich mich, als würde meine Zeit ablaufen
Als wäre ich nur einer von mehreren tausend Accounts
Von dem Typen, der alles hatte, aber es nie geschafft hat
Mit all dem Potenzial, eines Tages der Größte zu sein
Und normalerweise bin ich gestresst, aber weißt du, was verrückt ist?
Die Tatsache, dass mich der Scheiß in letzter Zeit nicht stört
Denn ich nehme einfach einen anderen Flug und habe ein paar wilde Nächte
Während irgendein anderer neuer Kerl ausgezeichnet wird
Ich gebe zu, ich habe etwas Interesse verloren, bin zu sehr in dieses Leben investiert
Ständige Reisen in verschiedene Städte, tolle Nächte mit den feinsten Frauen
Verfangen in der Tatsache, dass auf der ganzen Welt
Leute sich natürlich zu mir hingezogen fühlen
Ohne Ruhm oder Einfluss, denn Gott weiß, dass ich diese Blutegel hasse
Aber weg zu sein, gab mir eine ganz neue Perspektive
Und haufenweise Inspiration, befeuerte den Fortschritt
Viele Segnungen und wertvolle Lektionen
Aber auch die Angst, dass meine Lieben vernachlässigt werden
26 Jahre, habe gerade meinen ersten Geburtstag verpasst
Dann verging eine weitere Sekunde, ich vermisse die Zeit noch mehr
Dann kam Weihnachten, das war alles im selben Jahr
Und die meisten würden annehmen, dass das keine große Sache ist
Aber für uns ist es das, denn ich kam von einem Ort der Liebe
Obwohl wir nicht viel hatten, reichte uns nur einander
Aber jetzt verstehe ich, dass nicht jeder gleich ist
Denn die meisten meiner Freunde können diese Unterstützung nicht nachvollziehen
Und es hat mich überrascht, weil ich nicht bemerkt habe
Dass viele Eltern die Erziehung ihrer Kinder wie einen Job behandelten
Und nach 18 Jahren würden sie einfach nicht darüber hinausgehen
Also, wenn diese Zeit vorbei ist, bist du auf dich allein gestellt, um zu überleben
Und ihre einzige Stellenbeschreibung war, zu versorgen
Sie versuchen nicht, die Extrameile mit Qualitätszeit zu gehen
Die Ursache für innere Probleme später im Leben
Dankbar, dass das bei meinen nie der Fall war
Aber ich habe Brüder, ich bin derjenige, zu dem sie aufschauen
Ich möchte, dass du der Beste in dem bist, was du tun willst
Ich möchte, dass du dich mit all den Dingen beschäftigst, die du liebst
Und wenn ich nicht da bin, zweifle nie daran, dass ich dich liebe
Was ist daraus geworden, dass ich das überhaupt sagen muss?
Vergieße Tränen, weil es meine Schuld ist, und ich hasse das wirklich
Meine Mutter rief an, ich bin unterwegs, immer noch auf Achse
Sie sagte, sie hätten gesagt, dass sie das Gefühl haben, dich nicht mehr zu kennen

Ich finde es lustig, wie ich dich an meinem Geburtstag getroffen habe
Und deine Anwesenheit war seit dem ersten Tag ein Geschenk für mich
Ehrlich gesagt weiß ich nicht, was ich getan habe, um dich zu verdienen
Oder wie du an meinen schlimmsten Tagen immer für mich da bist
Und du würdest es nicht wissen, weil ich es nie zeige
Das geheimste offene Buch, ich kann mich nicht bloßstellen
All meine Probleme, denn dieser Scheiß ist nur ein Teil des Lebens
Und wir alle haben sie, können sie nicht zu bestimmenden Momenten werden lassen

Und natürlich suche ich nicht die Liebe meines Lebens
Ich denke, ich brauche ein paar Optionen, und es gibt Tausende in Sicht

Aber es stellte sich heraus, dass es mit der Zeit viel mehr war
Und je mehr Zeit wir verbringen, desto mehr fühle ich innerlich

Aber ich weiß, dass es für dich anstrengend ist, mit mir umzugehen
Weil ich mich in all den Mädchen verliere, die auf dem Markt sind
Ich weiß, du hasst es, aber respektierst die Tatsache, dass ich ehrlich war
Manchmal hasse ich es, dass ich dich überhaupt hineingezogen habe und
Also versuche ich, etwas Abstand zu halten, mache nie ein Versprechen

Lebe Single, tue, was ich will, muss niemandem Rechenschaft ablegen
Aber dieses Herz, das ich für dich habe, bringt Schuldgefühle mit sich, also bin ich vorsichtig mit

Ich kann an einer Hand abzählen, wie oft ich dich weinen gesehen habe
Und für diese wenigen gab es einen extremen Grund
Aber das war traumatisierend, etwas anderes dieses Mal
Die Scheiße war erschreckend, versuchte, sie aus meinem Gedächtnis zu löschen
Wir sind mitten in einem normalen Gespräch
Du weißt schon, Musik, Sport, mit wem ich ausgehe
Dann fangen deine Tränen an zu fließen und ein kleines Zittern
Ich bin überrascht, denke: "Was zum Teufel habe ich hier vor mir?"
Du winkst ab und versuchst mir zu sagen, dass alles gut ist
Und ich tue so, als würde ich es glauben, weiß nicht wirklich, ob ich sollte
Du brauchtest wahrscheinlich ein offenes Ohr, aber all meine Ängste
Setzten sich durch, dass ich etwas erfahre, was ich nicht hören will
Also lasse ich dich es abtun und damit davonkommen
Hoffe, dass es nur einmal ist, aber das ist es nicht, oder?
Denn jetzt kommt der Scheiß einfach häufiger
Und intensiver, ich fühle mich besiegt
Kann mir nicht vorstellen, wie es sich für dich anfühlt
Ich habe Angst, den Grund zu erfahren
Jetzt sind viele Tabs auf meinem Handy geöffnet
Was könnte die Ursache für diese Symptome sein, die du gezeigt hast?
Ich tippe Parkinson ein, die Scheiße lässt mich die Hoffnung verlieren
Also renne ich einfach weiter...
Dieses unbehagliche Gefühl in meinen Knochen
Ich bleibe absichtlich lange weg, ich will nicht nach Hause gehen
Ich finde es irgendwie schwer, dir das Gefühl zu geben, dass du nicht allein bist
Weil ich einfach weiter renne...

Aber tief im Inneren weiß ich, dass ich viel mehr tun könnte
Ich habe das Gefühl, ich habe das Minimum getan, ist das nur eine Illusion?
Weil ich nicht aufhören werde zu rennen...
Verdammt, bitte denk nicht, dass ich egoistisch bin
Es tut einfach so weh und ich kann nichts dagegen tun
Ich kann mich dem nicht stellen, Mann, ich fühle mich wirklich hilflos

Ich dachte, ich wäre besser geworden, habe an mir selbst gearbeitet, ganz allein
In den letzten Jahren bin ich nur vor dem alten Ich davongelaufen
Hasse es, alte Bilder zu sehen, jetzt bin ich ein ganz anderer Mensch
Damals war ich so schüchtern, suchte ständig
Nach einer Quelle des Selbstvertrauens, die nicht von Errungenschaften abhing
Und zu wissen, dass ich dieser Kerl bin, unabhängig davon, wie sie sich fühlen
In gewisser Weise kannst du sagen, dass ich bekommen habe, was ich wollte
Aber wenn ich mich dem nicht stellen kann, dann bedeutet dieser Scheiß nichts
Ich dachte wirklich, Selbstverbesserung würde all meine Ängste auslöschen
Mit allem, was ich über die Jahre aufgebaut habe
Mehr Geld, mehr Frauen, mehr Buchungen für Reisen
Aber nichts in dieser verdammten Welt konnte mich darauf vorbereiten
Also, obwohl ich die großartigste Zeit meines Lebens habe
Laufe ich unterbewusst auch vor meinen Problemen davon
Aber ich bin froh, sagen zu können, dass es dir viel besser geht
Hatte Angst, dass sich mein Leben für immer verändern würde
