As I flipped the pages I saw these words

Which is Christ the Lord"
Then I took the little Holy Book, held it close and tight
I closed my eyes and visualized the glory of that night
So suddenly it came to me for when I awoke on Christmas Day
I felt the Christmas spirit down deep inside to stay

Mais un gentil garçon a dit, "Frohliche Weihnachten"
Ne comprenant pas les mots mais comprenant l'achat et la vente
J'ai senti l'esprit de Noël
À Bethléem, j'ai entendu un hymne, une lointaine chorale chantait
Et avec d'autres touristes, je me suis dirigé vers une église au son de ses cloches
Puis j'ai entendu quelqu'un dire à quelqu'un, "C'est là que le Christ est né"
Je me demande s'il ressemblait à notre bébé ce premier matin
Et puis j'ai vraiment senti l'esprit de Noël
D'un homme d'affaires en Terre sainte dans une boutique de souvenirs sur le trottoir
J'ai acheté une petite Bible puisque je m'étais déjà arrêté
Et c'est à Paris en France que par hasard j'ai sorti la Bible
En feuilletant les pages, j'ai vu ces mots
Et j'ai compris ce dont il s'agissait
Car j'ai lu, "Ne crains pas, car voici, je vous apporte de bonnes nouvelles d'une grande joie
Qui seront pour tout le people"
Car c'est pour vous qu'est né aujourd'hui dans la ville de David, un Sauveur

Puis j'ai pris le petit Livre saint, l'ai tenu près de moi et l'ai serré fort
J'ai fermé les yeux et j'ai visualisé la gloire de cette nuit
Si soudainement, cela m'est venu à l'esprit, lorsque je me suis réveillé le jour de Noël
J'ai senti l'esprit de Noël au plus profond de moi pour y rester
Ô petite ville de Bethléem, comme Tu es tranquille
Au-dessus de Ton sommeil profond et sans rêve, les étoiles silencieuses passent
