Little Bo Peep has lost her sheep

As Bo Peep did stray

And over the hillocks went rambling

As a shepherdess should

La petite Bo-Peep a perdu ses moutons,

Car ils avaient laissé leurs queues derrière eux.

Il arriva un jour,
Alors que Bo-Peep s'égarait,
Dans un pré verdoyant tout proche.
Là, elle aperçut leurs queues côte à côte,
Toutes accrochées à un grand arbre pour sécher.

Elle poussa un soupir et s'essuya les yeux,
Et par-dessus les collines elle erra.
Elle fit ce qu'elle put,
Comme une bergère le devrait,
Pour rattacher chacune à son agneau.
