About all the tracks on his deluxe version of his album
You know "Tangled Up", he released that over a year ago
And so this was a way for Thomas to give people more music
While he works on his next studio album
And also while he prepares for his big headlining tour coming up in 2017
So we're gonna be playing you all the songs starting with the first track
And I understand it's no coincidence that "Anthem" is the first song on this album

"Anthem" is a song that, uh
From the first time I heard it I knew I wanted to cut it strictly to be number one on the album
The first track, and the main reason we cut it was so that we could open that with our shows
Uhm, I think if there was ever an opener to a show
"Anthem" is the ultimate way to come out and just explode in your set
And so there was a reason we put it first
That way when people get the record they hear that one first
And they know when they come to a concert they're probably gonna hear that one first as well
