Hey there, I'm Becca and we're gonna be talking to Thomas
About all the tracks on his deluxe version of his album
You know "Tangled Up", he released that over a year ago
And so this was a way for Thomas to give people more music
While he works on his next studio album
And also while he prepares for his big headlining tour coming up in 2017
So we're gonna be playing you all the songs starting with the first track
And I understand it's no coincidence that "Anthem" is the first song on this album

"Anthem" is a song that, uh
From the first time I heard it I knew I wanted to cut it strictly to be number one on the album
The first track, and the main reason we cut it was so that we could open that with our shows
Uhm, I think if there was ever an opener to a show
"Anthem" is the ultimate way to come out and just explode in your set
And so there was a reason we put it first
That way when people get the record they hear that one first
And they know when they come to a concert they're probably gonna hear that one first as well

Alors c'était un moyen pour Thomas de donner plus de musique aux gens
Pendant qu'il travaille sur son prochain album studio
Et aussi pendant qu'il se prépare pour sa grande tournée en tête d'affiche qui arrive en 2017
On va donc te faire écouter toutes les chansons en commençant par la première piste
Et je comprends que ce n'est pas un hasard si "Anthem" est la première chanson de cet album

"Anthem" est une chanson qui, euh
Dès la première fois que je l'ai entendue, j'ai su que je voulais la sortir pour qu'elle soit numéro un de l'album
La première piste, et la principale raison pour laquelle on l'a sortie, c'est pour qu'on puisse l'ouvrir avec nos spectacles
Euh, je pense que s'il y avait un jour un ouvreur de spectacle
"Anthem" est la façon ultime de sortir et d'exploser dans ton set
Donc, il y avait une raison pour laquelle on l'a mise en premier
Comme ça, quand les gens écoutent le disque, ils entendent celle-là en premier
Et ils savent que lorsqu'ils viennent à un concert, ils vont probablement l'entendre en premier aussi
