Literally one of my favorite songwriters I've gotten to work in a while time
And this is the first time me and Hardy ever got right and, uhm, we were just sitting there
And, Jesse had made this like super beach-y track and I've never put out any kind of beach song
I think Vacation was my best attempt at that
But this is straight up Kenny Chesney meets Jimmy Buffett meets a little bit of funk to it

And uhm, basically this song is really for you to just crack open a beer, and
And even if you're not at the beach, pretend like you are
It's basically about people goin', "I know we got two weeks worth of vacation
And we haven't taken one in a while, let's just get somewhere where there is sand
I don't care if it's a lake or a beach or wherever it's at"

But I hope this song takes you to different place and let's you chill out for a couple of minutes

Okay, jetzt ist es Zeit, an den Strand zu gehen.
Ich hörte "Sand" und dachte: "Okay, ich weiß nicht, wo ich gerade bin.
Aber was das Bild angeht, das du gemalt hast (ja), war ich am Strand."

Du bist am Strand, ja, Mann, ich habe diesen Song mit Jesse Frasure und Michael Hardy geschrieben.
Ähm, der jetzt sein eigenes, äh, Künstler-Leben beginnt.

Mann, er ist aus dem Nichts aufgetaucht, er ist wie (Alter)
Jeder Hit-Song im Moment.

Wirklich einer meiner Lieblings-Songwriter, mit denen ich seit einer Weile zusammenarbeiten durfte.
Und das ist das erste Mal, dass Hardy und ich uns richtig verstanden haben, und ähm, wir saßen einfach da.
Und Jesse hatte diesen super strandigen Track gemacht, und ich habe noch nie irgendeine Art von Strand-Song veröffentlicht.
Ich denke, "Vacation" war mein bester Versuch in dieser Richtung.
Aber das hier ist geradewegs Kenny Chesney trifft Jimmy Buffett, trifft ein bisschen Funk.

Und ähm, im Grunde ist dieser Song wirklich dafür da, dass du einfach ein Bier aufmachst und,
und selbst wenn du nicht am Strand bist, tu so, als wärst du es.
Es geht im Grunde darum, dass Leute sagen: "Ich weiß, wir haben zwei Wochen Urlaub.
Und wir haben schon lange keinen mehr genommen, lass uns einfach irgendwohin fahren, wo es Sand gibt.
Es ist mir egal, ob es ein See oder ein Strand oder wo auch immer ist."

Aber ich hoffe, dieser Song bringt dich an einen anderen Ort und lässt dich für ein paar Minuten entspannen, meine Schöne.
