I am Becca, we are celebrating Thomas Rhett's new album "Tangled Up" deluxe
By playing all the tracks off the album and talking to Thomas about the album

The first one that we're gonna play is turning out to be a pretty big hit
It is flying up the charts
It's "Star Of The Show" and I understand this song is pretty special to you

Uh, this song is special for a lot of reasons
One, I think wrote the song, 'bout a month after I got married
I wrote with my dad and a guy named Ben Hayslip
And I was actually out with my dad this past weekend writing
And he actually showed me this old notebook that has been water damaged for five years
And he actually has the day that we wrote the song
I think he might be the only person that still actually physically writes lyrics
And don't keep them on a laptop

So it's nice when you can write songs with your dad like that
And it was cool, 'cause he wrote it after I got married and
You know, "Die a Happy Man" was something I wrote later on in life
But this is one of the first ones I feel like
I kinda wrote about being married and going out with my wife
Uh, just in Nashville or out anywhere
You know noticing her, just kinda glow up the room
Uh, no matter what she's wearing
Whether it's just Nike shorts and t-shirt
And the song is basically about how you know your girl just kinda
Gets you no matter what setting you're in and kinda when you're out at dinner or something
It's kinda the spotlight is completely on her
So I think those two reasons will be the main reason
That this song is very special and super glad to have it on the deluxe

Well, I love it
I'm glad it's on the deluxe too
And I mean, what woman wouldn't love to have her man write a song like this about her?
I think we all would

indem wir alle Tracks des Albums spielen und mit Thomas über das Album sprechen.
Und es gibt fünf Bonustracks auf der Deluxe-Edition von "Tangled Up".
Der erste, den wir spielen werden, entwickelt sich zu einem ziemlich großen Hit.
Er schießt in den Charts nach oben.
Es ist "Star Of The Show", und ich habe gehört, dass dieser Song für dich etwas Besonderes ist.

Dieser Song ist aus vielen Gründen etwas Besonderes.
Erstens, ich glaube, ich habe den Song etwa einen Monat nach meiner Hochzeit geschrieben.
Ich habe ihn mit meinem Vater und einem Typen namens Ben Hayslip geschrieben.
Und ich war letztes Wochenende mit meinem Vater draußen, um zu schreiben.
Und er zeigte mir tatsächlich dieses alte Notizbuch, das seit fünf Jahren wasserschäden hat.
Und er hat tatsächlich den Tag, an dem wir den Song geschrieben haben.
Ich glaube, er ist vielleicht die einzige Person, die Texte noch physisch schreibt.
Und sie nicht auf einem Laptop speichert.

Es ist also schön, wenn man solche Songs mit seinem Vater schreiben kann.
Und es war cool, denn er hat ihn geschrieben, nachdem ich geheiratet hatte, und
weißt du, "Die a Happy Man" war etwas, das ich später im Leben geschrieben habe.
Aber das ist einer der ersten Songs, bei denen ich das Gefühl habe,

Ich denke, diese beiden Gründe sind der Hauptgrund,
dass dieser Song etwas ganz Besonderes ist, und ich bin super froh, ihn auf der Deluxe-Version zu haben.

Nun, ich liebe es.
Ich bin auch froh, dass er auf der Deluxe-Version ist.
Und ich meine, welche Frau würde es nicht lieben, wenn ihr Mann einen solchen Song über sie schreibt?
Ich denke, wir alle würden das.
