When I first saw the title VHS we hadn't talked about that song and I'm like what is this going to be about?

And then Very Hot Summer of course, what a jam

Yeah for sure man another song that I wrote with Amy Wadge and Jesse Frasure and Ashley Gorley
And I remember being in the room that day
And Jesse said, "I have this title called VHS"
And I probably went to where your brain went like a tape like what I used to watch all my old Disney movies on and
He goes, "But it stands for Very Hot Summer" and I was like, "That's cool man" like I've never heard that title
I've never heard that idea so we started just writing this super funky, uptempo summer jam
Just about kinda just riding around in like a top off jeep on the coast of somewhere
And being like I don't care what the weather's doing it could be 40 degrees
It's about to be a very hot summer because you're sitting in the passenger's seat
And uh I remember playing this song like on vacation after we'd written this song and I was just like, "This is a jam"
This is one of those songs that I just play on repeat in the gym, on the bus it's like a warm up track before we go on stage
I just think people are gonna have so much fun with how lighthearted and just fun this song is

Turn it up, VHS, Very Hot Summer and this tour's coming out and it's gonna be a be a very hot tour

Hey, hier ist Thomas Rhett und du hörst mein "Center Point Road" Album Release Special.

Dieser Song macht so viel Spaß, du hast beschlossen, deine Tour danach zu benennen.

Ja, richtig.

Als ich den Titel VHS zum ersten Mal sah, hatten wir noch nicht über diesen Song gesprochen, und ich dachte: "Worum wird es hier gehen?"

Ja.

Und dann "Very Hot Summer", natürlich, was für ein Knaller.

Ja, auf jeden Fall, Mann. Ein weiterer Song, den ich mit Amy Wadge, Jesse Frasure und Ashley Gorley geschrieben habe.
Und ich erinnere mich, dass ich an diesem Tag im Raum war.
Und Jesse sagte: "Ich habe diesen Titel namens VHS."
Und ich dachte wahrscheinlich, was du auch dachtest, an eine Kassette, auf der ich früher meine alten Disney-Filme angeschaut habe.
Er sagte: "Aber es steht für Very Hot Summer", und ich sagte: "Das ist cool, Mann", ich habe diesen Titel noch nie gehört.
Ich hatte diese Idee noch nie gehört, also fingen wir an, diesen super funkigen, Uptempo-Sommerhit zu schreiben.
Es geht darum, mit einem offenen Jeep an der Küste entlangzufahren.
Und zu denken: "Es ist mir egal, wie das Wetter ist, es könnten auch 40 Grad sein."
Es wird ein sehr heißer Sommer, weil du auf dem Beifahrersitz sitzt.
Und äh, ich erinnere mich, dass ich diesen Song im Urlaub gespielt habe, nachdem wir ihn geschrieben hatten, und ich dachte nur: "Das ist ein Knaller."
Das ist einer dieser Songs, die ich im Fitnessstudio und im Bus immer wieder abspiele, es ist wie ein Warm-up-Track, bevor wir auf die Bühne gehen.
Ich denke, die Leute werden so viel Spaß mit diesem Song haben, weil er so unbeschwert und lustig ist.

Dreh auf, VHS, Very Hot Summer, und diese Tour kommt, und es wird eine sehr heiße Tour.
