It is a rose sprung forth, from a tender root,

The little rose, that I mean, of which Isaiah speaks,
Is Mary the Pure who bore us the little flower.
According to God's eternal plan she bore a child
And remained a pure maiden.

The little flower, so small, that smells so sweet,
With its bright light it drives away the darkness.
True man and true God, helps us from all sorrows,
Saves from sin and death.

O Jesus, until parting from this vale of tears
Let Your help guide us to the hall of joy,
