Hasbun' Allah

The blazing fire burned like the sun
And all he claimed was God is one
And there was no one by his side
His heart was strong, his faith was right
The friend of Allah Ibrāhīm knew
God's promise will stand true, he said
حَسْبُنا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
Allah is enough for me
As I stand here alone, I have nothing to fear
For I trust in Allah, He is all that I need
Fearlessly he faced the pharaoh
Pleading let my people go
For you are not our Lord, the One
Who Commands the moon, commands the sun
The Prophet Mūsā stood firm and free
His faith took them towards the sea, he said
حَسْبُنا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
Allah is enough for me
My Lord, Open the way
Our lives in your hands
Show us your mercy
You are all that we have
She lay alone her baby born
How would she face the people's scorn
For she was chaste, not touched before
By any man, her life so pure
The greatest woman that ever lived
Maryam held a miracle, she said
حَسْبُنا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
Allah is enough for me
As we lay here alone
This gift given to me
A great messenger
Oh my son you will be
He faced an army filled with hate
His only message was God is great
But all they did was drive him out
A thousand strong now to end his light
Muḥammad (pbuh) stood, so few by his side
He turned and eased the fear in their eyes, He said
حَسْبُنا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
Allah is enough for me
Do not forsake us O lord
Make our hearts firm today
If these few of us fail, who will call out Your Name
And Allah heard his call, sent the Angels to him
When he said حَسْبُنا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
With all that I go through in this life
There's nothing that can shake my faith
For Allah is all that anyone needs
Just say حَسْبُنا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
Allah is enough for me

Hasbun' Allah

Le feu brûlant a brûlé comme le soleil
Et tout ce qu'il a réclamé, c'est que Dieu est un
Et il n'y avait personne à ses côtés
Son cœur était fort, sa foi était juste
L'ami d'Allah Ibrāhīm savait
La promesse de Dieu tiendra bon, a-t-il dit
حَسْبُنا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
Allah me suffit
Alors que je suis ici seul, je n'ai rien à craindre
Car j'ai confiance en Allah, il est tout ce dont j'ai besoin
Sans peur, il a fait face au pharaon
Suppliant, laisse mon peuple partir
Car tu n'es pas notre Seigneur, Celui
Qui commande la lune, commande le soleil
Le prophète Mūsā est resté ferme et libre
Sa foi les a conduits vers la mer, a-t-il dit
حَسْبُنا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
Allah me suffit
Mon Seigneur, ouvre le chemin
Nos vies sont entre tes mains
Montre-nous ta miséricorde
Tu es tout ce que nous avons
Elle était seule, son bébé était né
Comment allait-elle faire face au mépris du peuple
Car elle était chaste, non touchée auparavant
Par aucun homme, sa vie si pure
La plus grande femme qui ait jamais vécu
Maryam tenait un miracle, a-t-elle dit
حَسْبُنا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
Allah me suffit
Alors que nous sommes ici seuls
Ce cadeau qui me fut donné
Un grand messager
Oh mon fils, tu seras
Il a fait face à une armée remplie de haine
Son seul message était que Dieu est grand
Mais tout ce qu'ils ont fait, c'est le chasser
Un millier de forts maintenant pour mettre fin à sa lumière
Muḥammad (pbsl) s'est tenu debout, si peu à ses côtés
Il s'est retourné et a apaisé la peur dans leurs yeux, il a dit
حَسْبُنا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
Allah me suffit
Ne nous abandonne pas, ô Seigneur
Rends nos cœurs fermes aujourd'hui
Si ces quelques-uns d'entre nous échouent, qui invoquera ton nom
Et Allah a entendu son appel, il a envoyé les anges vers lui
Quand il a dit حَسْبُنا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
Avec tout ce que je traverse dans cette vie
Il n'y a rien qui puisse ébranler ma foi
Car Allah est tout ce dont quiconque a besoin
Il suffit de dire حَسْبُنا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
