ある日やっと降り出した雪に
青空が恋をして
空になった雲のポケットの隅から
アメを降らせたんだ

そのカエルは頭に咲いた花が
ただ嫌になったから
枯らせ方を探して旅に出よう
これで僕も普通になろう

そんなおとぎ話を書いてる
君の好きなあの絵本の続きを
聞かせたいと思うのだ

さぁ、口ずさんで
口ずさんでたら春が来て
僕ら気まずくないように
明日の方を向いて笑っているんだろう

忘れないで 忘れないでよ、ねぇ
この話は君のために書いた話だ
本当は僕は
こんな絵本を描くことが夢だったんだ

その日やっと木に成った花が
ビル風と喧嘩して
落ち零れたそれを拾った君は
押し花を作ったのさ

グラスホッパー
物知りな猫のお爺さんが消えてしまった！
聞けば雲の上まで越したらしい
跳ねて届けば会えるらしい

そんな頭の物語を書き出すたび
君がノートの上踊るのさ
嘘みたいな陽気で

さぁ春を待って
春を待ってたら君がいて
僕は気付かれないように
いつまでも頬拭って笑っているんだろう

忘れたいよ 忘れたいのにねぇ
春の風も 木漏れ日みたいな背徳感も
僕の弱さ全部絵本に閉じ込めただけだったんだ

楽しそうだったら笑った振りして
辛いことがあってもふざけた振りして
絵本の中の僕みたいに
生きていけたらがそれが出来たらわけないよ
さよならした君の想い出で話を書いて
祖父が死んだときでさえ泣いた振りをして
人の気持ちがわからないなんて言い訳、
僕が駄目なだけだ

I Pretended to Cry

I finally watched the snow fall one day
The blue sky fell in love
From the corner of a cloud's empty pocket
It rained candy

The frog's head sprouted a flower
It hated it
And went on a journey to find a way to kill it
So it could become normal again

I'm writing a fairy tale like that
A sequel to that picture book you like so much
So I can read it to you

My dream was to write a picture book like this
