Half a Day Off

With every one of the girls I've dated and every bouquet of flowers filled with thorns,
And every scar from my romances, as each tear falls like rain,

I'm afraid, afraid to love again; after loving, I'm even more afraid, alone at the end.
Why must flowers bloom but not bear fruit? Who can face separation without pain?

And every time the pain of love is like a valuable lesson to me.
After subtracting and dividing, I've come to the answer: don't drag things out.

Come together, then disperse; after dispersing, find someone new; there's more than one in the world.
Look up and face separation, no longer hiding; understand that I am the one I love most in the world.

Listen to the sound of my breathing, my body and mind transforming; I'll let go of all those girls and put them in my tea.

If other people think I'm doing poorly, I don't think it's so bad; if people want to wake up, they need to be enlightened.
If people are too innocent, they'll see how fake the world is; the world of men and women is like flowers in the mist.

Consequences—are there any? Where are there no consequences? At most, a few lingering thoughts.
I shed tears over the dust in the wind; why do you ask me if I'm happy?
