Bis jetzt

Wenn ich ehrlich bin: das Jahr war zum Kotzen
Aber wenn ich noch ehrlicher bin dann hab ich's genossen
Ich hab so wenig gechillt wie nie zuvor
Aber wenn grad alles kacke ist, dann hilft mir viel Humor
Höhöhö. Ich mach einfach einen schlechten Witz
Dann lächel ich und merk dass es jetzt besser ist
Soviel von dem Geplanten hat nur schlecht geklappt
Aber dafür jede Menge Kram mit dem ich nicht gerechnet hab
Ich hab soviel Menschen kennengelernt
Und mich von so vielen Anderen entfremdet entfernt
Und ständig wirds mehr doch am Ende war's das wert
Ich hab nicht nur viel gesehen sondern 'ne Menge durch gelernt
Zum Beispiel: ist egal was später passiert
Ist nicht sicher, sicher ist du bist auf jeden Fall hier
Und dass es Unsinn ist seine Feinde nah bei sich zu halten
Ich sammel meine Freunde um mich rum und scheiss auf alle Ander'n

Es wär der ätzendste Mist den man am besten vergisst
Bis das Gedächtnis erlischt - bis jetzt
Und trotzdem lächel ich, es ist am besten wie's ist
Weil ich den Rest nicht vermiss' - bis jetzt

Ich spür' es jedes Jahr intensiver
Und denk mir jedes Mal "So geil wird's aber nie wieder!"
Doch gewöhn' mir ab bestimmte Erwartungen anzunehm'
Und find's ganz gut immerzu der Nase nachzugeh'n
Schnief, schnief. ich verfehl die Ziele so oder so
Schritt vor, Schritt zurück, Hauptsache nie stehen geblieben
Den Kopf hochhalten wenn man bis zum Hals in Kacke steht
Ist nicht immer leicht, denn schnell tut ei'm der Nacken weh
Und ich kann versteh'n was damals meine Eltern meinten
Mit "Wir können's dir nur raten, du musst selbst entscheiden"
Was sie meinten mit "Das Leben ist schön"
Und mit "So ist das, daran musst du dich eben gewöhnen"
Ich werde den Planeten nicht mehr ändern
Doch vielleicht ein kleines Stückchen das man später noch erkenn' kann
Ob mir das gelingt? Ich habe keinen Plan
Doch so oder so werd ich im Nachhinein sagen:

Ich werde niemals reich und berühmt
Ich hab mich auch 'nen Scheiss drum bemüht, meine Leistung genügt
Ich bin niemals mit Knebelvertrag beim Label am Start
Meine CD steht niemals im Regel bei Media Markt
Wie traurig. Das Leben ist hart
Ich hebe nicht ab, werd nie der Star sein nach dem jeder dich fragt
Und doch stehe ich hier und denk "Man kann natürlich hoffen"
Denn noch stehen mir alle Türen offen. Bis jetzt

So far

If I am honest, this year sucks,
But if I am being even more honest, I enjoyed it
I chilled so seldom like never before
But when everything is fucked, lots of humor helps me
Hehe. I just make a lousy joke
Then I smile and realise that now it is better
So much of what is planned went wrong
But for that I got a lot of stuff I did not expect
I met so many people
And distanced myself from so many others
And it constantly becomes more but at the end it was worth it
I saw not only much but learned a lot,
For example: does not matter what happens later
Is not sure, for sure you are definitely here
And that it is nonsense to keep his enemies close
I gather my friends around me and shit on all the others

It would be the most annoying shit which one best forgets
Until the memory decays - so far
And yet I smile, it is best as it is
Because I do not miss the rest - so far

I feel it more intense every year
And think to myself every time, "It will never be that cool again!"
Yet, I wean myself off from accepting certain expectations
And find it quite good to always follow my nose
Sniff, sniff. I miss the goals anyway
Step forward, step backward, the main thing is never to stand still
To hold up the head when one is in shit up to the neck
Is not always easy, because quickly the neck gets sore
And I can understand what my parents meant then
With "We can only advise you; you must decide for yourself."
What they meant with "Life is beautiful."
And with "That's the way it is; you just have to get used to it."
I will no longer change the planet
But perhaps a small piece of it which one can still recognize later
Will I succeed in this? I have no plan
But either way in retrospect I will say:

I will never be rich and famous
I did not even give a shit to my achievement, it is sufficient
I will never get a gag contract with a label
My CD will never be on rotation at Media Markt
How sad. Life is hard
I do not take off; I will never be the star everybody asks about
And yet I stand here and think, "One can naturally hope."
Because all doors are still open for me. So far
