Как хорошо, что самолёт и я
Находимся в различных ипостасях.
Там у него температура лютая,
А здесь тепло, и лягушачьи глазья

Шевелятся заботливой весной,
И солнце, заходящее с ужами,
Собралось завалиться под сосной.
Я приподобен поэтичной жабе,

Кайфую! Уж простите за арго,
А как иначе, если вечером в апреле?!
А как иначе, если в этот новый год
Ещё не слышал соловьиной трели,

Ещё ни разу не считал кукушек клич,
Продумывая долгосрочны планы?!
И как заветных целей не достичь,
Когда с тобою сосны великаны?!

Меня большое будущее ждёт!
Я верю, знаю и теперь желаю,
Чтобы такой же быстрый самолёт
Умчал меня к неведомому краю.

И чтобы после всех больших побед
В эпоху восхищенья и богатства
Я взял в один конец один билет
И вновь вернулся в лягушачье царство.

Frog Kingdom

It's so good that the airplane and I
Exist in different states of being.
It's freezing cold up there for it,
While here it's warm, and the eyes of frogs

Are stirring with the caring spring,
And the sun, setting with snakes,
Is about to fall asleep beneath a pine.
I'm like a poetic toad,

Feeling great! Forgive the slang,
But how else to feel on an April evening?!
How else to feel when in this new year
I haven't heard the nightingale's trill yet,

Haven't counted the cuckoo's calls,
While pondering long-term plans?!
And how can cherished goals not be reached,
When giant pines are with you?!

A great future awaits me!
I believe, I know, and now I wish
That a similarly swift airplane
Would whisk me away to an unknown land.

And that after all the great victories,
In an era of admiration and wealth,
I'd buy a one-way ticket
And return once more to the frog kingdom.
